I was interested in making a site on the best credit cards to choose and I was wondering if that was too broad and if I needed to specify a type of credit card?
In my opinion, you can talk about credit cards in general and always have articles on your best pick of credit cards. Doing the keyword research for each according to the methods taught at WA will help you find "low-hanging fruit"
I would have my landing page talk generally about credit cards and list the different best-picks in the sidebar with their own articles and/or have links within to articles that specifically talk about each.
In these articles, I would compare them with some of your other best picks and this gives you the opportunity to have an internal link or two in each of your articles.
I'm not knowledgeable enough about how you would promote them, but this is how I would set up the initial site.

Is a website on credit cards a narrow enough niche?
