Feeling doubtful

I feel like it's going to be ages before my site gets ranked and I actually have a following. I know my page is pretty new though.
I made a Facebook page, Twitter page, Pinterest and Google +, but I don't know how to get followers on any of them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.
