Hello business friends,
How is everyone this evening?
I'm reaching out to you to see if this is true. There is this member here, https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/mizanurbh

Hey John,

It's weird because I clicked on the message that he replied to my reply to his following me, yet there is no comment. I found my original comment, and the person who commented below me, replied to themself as the fuy's comment is missing.

Not sure what is going on!

Rudy

I'm glad you took the time to look, friend. This is very unusual. Is he some kind of hacker?
If he had replied on your profile page, please take a look.

He recently left a comment on my profile page, where I had replied, but the comments between him and I, are nowhere to be found. How can he delete my comment and his on my profile page at the same time?
I understand he can delete his comment on my profile page, but to delete mine also, should not have happened.

Yeah, that's what I said. The person below me replied to herself because all of his comments are gone.

I would suggest letting site support know, as maybe this guy's profile still remains.

I received an alert saying that he had posted, yet his profile came up without anything written yet.

Kind of weird.

8 sent him a private message, yet no reply.

It is a mystery, John...

Rudy

I get that on his profile page, friend. But did he ever comment on "your profile page"? If he did, please see if you can find it. I can't find his comment and my reply on "my profile page". How is that possible? All the best!

I will check that...

Rudy

Ok, nothing In my profile feed, as he started following me and I replied to his profile feed.

I scrolled down to the beginning of his profile feed, where Kyle and Carson Sen their emails to new members.
6-7 months ago was first message.

That's all I know...

Thanks for picking up the scent on this..I will continue to forage out clues.

On his profile, he has three profiles, one at LinkedIn, IG and FB. The IG link no longer exists.

I didn't check the other two.

Rudy

He must have deleted all of his blog posts, John, and if he did, then all of our comments disappear right along with them!

Jeff

That is only true on his profile page, friend. It is not possible on my own profile page. He can remove his comment but not the comment I left on my profile page.
The only person that can remove my comment including his, on my profile page is me. We should do a test.

I'll go to your profile page first to comment. If you can kindly then reply, I will try to remove my comment and yours on your profile page If that's possible, then I can put this to rest. So, please stay with me on this.

I just responded, albeit just now, John! I do remember; however when the hateful trolls were razzing me, and Admin removed them, my orphaned responses were still there like a sore thumb! Although, I could go in and delete those myself!

Jeff

Okay! I stand corrected, friend. You are 100% correct. I just deleted my "testing message" on your profile page and your reply was gone with it. That was a relief. Thanks!

But his profile page is still a mystery. The guy made everyone look insane as they look like they are having a conversation with themselves. For whatever reason that was, it is strange. I understand doing it to one or two people, but to everyone?

Thanks again for letting me do the test. It was worth it to know. All the best!

No problem at all, John! The rest is still a mystery!

Jeff

Following for answers like a few others.
Stephen

John, did you ask Mizan if he is aware of this problem? It looks like it is happening with everyone he responds to. He should report it to Carson and have him check it.
Archie

He doesn't reply, friend. I'm starting to think that this guy is some computer programming genius.
The fact that I had a conversation with him on my profile page and I can't see it now, bothers me. It's like we never had a conversation.
I even have the e-mail that I've saved where he had replied to my profile page where I have responded.

This is weird. if he can go to my profile page and delete both of our comments like it never happened, then that's something to be worried about.

I don't know how the other people that had commented there on his profile page, hadn't noticed anything. All the best!

Weird, for sure.

I saw his page said his Blog Roll hasn't started yet or something to that effect, Archie!

Jeff

But did you read the comments on his profile page? It looks like everyone there is having a conversation with his/herself. That is truly weird, friend.
Either he is suspended for spamming or he is good at hacking.

I want to know how he had removed my comment to him on my profile page. I understand that anyone can remove his/her own comment on anyone's profile after commenting.
But removing my comment as well on my profile page, should not have happened.
That's what I'm worried about. All the best!

I have a problem with that with another member just recently, John! I'll be interested to see what you find out!

Jeff

I see, friend. But it is now getting weirder. I can't find the conversation that he and I had on my profile page. How can he do that? Is he a hacker? I have the email notification to back it up. I always respond to my profile page.

This is getting to be something serious. I would like to know if he is suspended and maybe that's why his comments were deleted on my profile page and on his comment on his profile page with the others as well. All the best!

I looked at his profile, and it has his picture but is totally blanked out otherwise and says Member's Blog Roll has not started, or something to that effect, John!

Jeff

When you comment on a post here at WA you have the ability to mute the discussion so that you only get notifications when someone replies to your actual comment instead of getting notified every time someone adds to the thread. On a profile page, though, there is no such option. So when others add to the thread you still get notified since you’re a part of it. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

That's not true, friend. My comment had no continual thread. So as the others. Please take a look at his profile page to see what I'm saying here. People are responding to the guy in a conversation like he's replying back to them. All the best!

What I’m saying is that since you can’t mute the discussion on a profile page, additional comments on that profile can trigger a notification to you in the same way it does when new comments are left on a post you’ve commented on even if they’re not a direct reply to your comment thread if you haven’t muted the discussion.

He may have decided to leave, deleted his comments to threads, who knows. But if others reply to that profile, at least for a while, it can trigger notifications to you. :)

I know what you're saying, friend. I've seen other profile pages where the person doesn't reply, and I don't get a notification. I don't know how you can come to that conclusion. I understand if someone made a comment under my thread, but not the way you're explaining it.
You might be right on the part where he is probably deleting his comments. But why would he do that? It makes no sense. All the best!

Happens all the time brother :)

Hello business friends,
How is everyone doing? I would like to know your thoughts on using these marketing strategies. They are called regular personalization and hyper-pers

The great thing about affiliate marketing, and specifically how we’re taught how to do it here at WA, is that we’re not having to figure out ways to sell a personalized experience to our audience in order to get their attention and conversions.

We are actually set up so that *they* are the ones searching for *us*.

Our websites, instead of trying to be one stop shop mega stores like Amazon that have to find a way to draw your attention to something you’re actually interested in among the Infinite items they have available, are focused on very specific niches

This is for the specific reason that, when our audience reaches our site, they find *exactly* what they’re looking for.

So our real method of personalized content really relies more on thoroughly answering the question at hand, making that specific
user experience a good one so our audience can find their answer easily, and providing as much value as we can for that specific search :)

I understand and agree with that genius idea, I’m just more slow to understand than before. But I keep going

In the end, it doesn’t matter how long it takes for us to understand, it just matters that we keep working hard until we do, right? :)

John, one huge caveat to keep in mind before you pursue hyper personalization - this strategy requires a tremendously huge level of personally identifiable information (PII) which subsequently requires a high level of security. If you are going to try something like this, be prepared for all the expensive consequences as well, and buy good liability insurance. There's a reason why it's primarily the big companies can employ hyper personalization.

That is very true, friend. But there are companies out there that are creating hyper-personalization A.I. software programs that can do that. They may not be as efficient as the big guys, but they can hyper-personalized emails, ads, and landing pages in real-time.

For example, if you send a hyper-personalized(using an A.I.) email to one of your subscribers with a link to your hyper-personalized landing page, it can convert higher than the norm.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A poor email example would be:
Hi there,
Please check this link out! You'll like it.

This subscriber clicks on the link to your landing page and it tries to sell something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A good example would be:
Hello Lisa,
How are you? I am reaching out to you based on your previous interests. I have something that might be worth looking at. Please click on the link below: whatever the link is

The subscriber clicks on the link to your landing page and it has the person's name(Lisa) with an introduction of what is selling. This will most likely convert better than the regular way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hyper-personalization will benefit mainly e-Commerce and Affiliate marketers better. Based on this, what do you think? Are you for it?

I wouldn't consider that very hyper personalized, but go for it. If you feel that you've got all the PII locked down the decision is yours. I just don't want to mislead WA members into thinking that there aren't risks in using this information for this purpose, especially now that the FTC under Biden is determined to crack down on affiliates even more.

Didn't know that was the name for this type of marketing but I've experienced it a lot
I don't think it is controversial

I believe it is the same thing we do with our blogs after the customers finished reading
We have another related reading with another product to offer

Think about it
I will however, read Helen's blog to learn more

Yes, we do that with our blogs. But the difference is that we don't use an A.I. to gather all touchpoints of the intended users.

We are using regular personalization, which is not that effective for conversion.

Amazon, eBay, and other big techs use this method. We don't even come close to using all the touchpoints of the prospects to drive our conversion rates higher.

Matter of fact it'll take a lot of time to collect these data from each customer.

There are software programs out there that we can buy to do this more effectively. I just want to know if anyone is using them and what are their thoughts when it comes to gathering so much data about a person.

Thanks for the input. I appreciated. All the best!

I have no idea how hyper-personalization works, but I will check out Helen's post.
Thank you for the information, John.

Okay. Let me know what you think. Thanks for commenting. All the best!

Hey John,

Thank YOU for introducing a new term for me: "hyper-personalization"... I just had to look it up to see what you were referring to.

This is what Amazon does when we make a purchase, as they usually say something like: "we saw that you ordered _____ recently, so we thought you might like to also have ______"
...in hopes of us ordering more goodies.

That would be awesome for an eCommerce site, but I don't think it would do most affiliate marketers any good... or am I mistaken on that?

You're exactly right, friend. It is very good for eCommerce sites. However, there are software programs for eCommerce sites and for affiliates marketers to help with the conversion rates.

Would you use such a software program as an affiliate marketer?
Would you find it controversial for having too much data on any of your customers?

The only data my site collects is on visitors... and that's by Google for purposes of tracking.

Not sure what software program that you might be referring to, but I do not use any software for my affiliate links, other than Pretty Links... if that answers your question. Hope so. :-D

Any A.I. software programs that we can use, friend. There are some out there. Hyper-personalization is also another term used by A.I. for personalized Ads.

The ones we do are regular personalization. Pretty Links are just basic. It doesn't use real-time data to personalize ads, emails, landing pages, etc.

This is very good for eCommerce sites prospects and Affiliate marketers' prospects as well. Regular blogs, not so much.
All the best!

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

Hello Business friends,
I was browsing through my membership package and I've noticed that at the bottom under "Research" to the very last, it read, "Communicate with Mercha

John- if you want to affiliate market somebody’s product or services, you have to tell them that you want to do it. For example, if you want to sell WA click on the $ symbol to take you to the sign up area. If you wanted to a vendor that goes through ShareASale you go on ShareASale website find the vendor that you are interested in and apply. Venders like Amazon that do it their selves, just Google their website go to the bottom of their homepage & you will find “affiliate marketing”. Once you have created an account they will require info from you to determine if your capabilities meet their requirements of a person to represent them.

Good luck & good hunting.

Edward

I got that, friend. But it says in our membership package under "Research" at the very last, "communicate with merchants". So we do the product search, then we are allowed to communicate with the merchants directly? Is that how it works?

Product is first because it will be your Niche or part of your niche. Then you find the Vendor or vendors that you want to supply you with that/those products.

Edward

Ii have not used this function, but what I understood was that some merchants provide a contact person for their program and that we can content that person if we have questions about their program.

Sorta like Warrior Plus. You can communicate with the Merchants here as well?

That is what I understood. We have not had a need to do that yet.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know. 😎 how do You do it.

Just looking around friend. Lol! Thanks for commenting. All the best!

Cool !

Thanks for sharing.

Were you asleep? I asked a question. Lol!

Nah wanted to follow for answers. lol. But probably sleeping too, don't get much of it. hehe

It's all good, friend. Just having fun. Lol! Thanks for commenting. All the best!

From what I understand, John, it's the training that allows you to monetize your websites. It links you to those merchants that pay affiliate commissions when you advertise and sell their products from your site. Amazon and clickbank are two of the most widely used but Amazon commissions are smaller.
Archie

So, for me to start promoting, I will have to communicate with the merchants that are on W.A. to get permission. Is that what it means?

Yes, John. That's the way I understand it. They provide the contact info but you have to make the contacts.

Good evening business friends,

Hey John,

Here is what site support said in their reply to my question about what happens when the domain expires...

"You'll have 30 days (for most domains*) after your registration expires to renew your domain at the standard rate. After 30 days*, it'll still be possible to renew, but you'll have to pay an additional fee..."

Now you know!

Rudy

I appreciate you taking the time to help out friend. I now know what to do. Thanks. All the best!

You're welcome!

Rudy

Hey John,

Sounds like you have your website parked and that your question may be in regards to the site itself. If so...

Once the domain of any website that may be hosted on WA servers expires, you will no longer have access to the site itself, as it will only exist as files within a folder on their server until the domain is either registered by you again or the folder and contents removed by those tending the server.

I've let domains expire on other hosts where I had FTP access (due to owning a hosting account) and only the folders contents remained accessible by FTP access but the sites could no longer be seen or accessed online.

If this is what you were meaning by your question here... and, if you do not wish to renew your domain name, then DO make sure to create a FULL back up copy of your website if you want access to the information presently on that website in the future.

Hope you find this helpful.

Sorry for butting in, but can you open a site Rubix domain with the same name then move the contents of the old website there.
Predictive text changed it to Rubin, now I’m hungry, lol.
Asking for a friend, hehe.
Stephen

Hey Stephen,

You're not butting in.

This is a membership site and we are encouraged to ask questions and offer assistance whenever.

The backup plugin I use: will let you use a backup file from ANY domain that you want... and use the steps to "restore" a website using the backup file to a totally different domain if you so wish.

That plugin will change ALL of the internal links to the "new" domain name.

Just make sure you are not publishing the content on BOTH sites at one time.

In other words ONE of your websites will need to have the "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" (see screen print below...) ... OR ... delete the content that you moved FROM the site you no longer want it published on... BUT don't forget to add REDIRECTS from the original site to the new site, if that is what you are doing.

Sometimes I've created a SiteRubix website and restored an old backed up copy of a site that I want to rescue an old post from. That's when I use the "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" option under Settings > Readings.

Once I've rescued what I wanted from an old backup file, I simply delete the SiteRubix website: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/delete-my-websitesite

Hope this helps you.

Thanks so much, this is great information.
Stephen

I appreciate your answer friend. My website was actually parked for almost two years.

It has no valuable content. I had two years for it to be expired, so the 19th of this month will be the expiration date.

The only value I see is the name itself. If I don't renew the domain, will W.A. remove it on or after the expiration date? What do you think?

I did the reverse...I went from siterubix to dot com and all transfered over as is.
B

Yes, I know you can do that. But setting up a site rubix site and transferring an external site is what I meant. Haha, I probably didn’t explain too well. Lol. Mea Culpa.
Stevoi

Dizzy! My head is spinning! LOL

Me too, maybe different reasons. Lol.
I wish we could add gifs.lol.
Stevoi

I'm sure it has nothing to do with studying canva all day, Steve!
I actually created a card that could be on Pinterest, with my own downloaded picture in the background.
Looks great except It has "add a bit of text" , that I didn't delete, and now am having trouble going back to edit it.
Back to the tutorial, but not tonight!!
Progress, ever so slowly.
Barb

Just like me, one step forward, two steps backwards lol

Hey John,

Let me share a story with you in hope of helping you to make your decision...

One of my clients purchased his domain name (long before the inexpensive registration prices) and he never used it for years. Then, once he started using it... well, his site gained authority in that it was considered "aged", even though the site was not online previously.

His site is now well over 20 years old, and he gets all sorts of organic traffic simply due to his site's authority.

Paying for registration even without site being made physically available, obviously STILL works to add authority to a domain.

Should you decide to NOT continue paying for registration of that domain name, someone will pay a hefty price to snatch up that domain name once the many months goes by so the registrar can legally release it for re-sell.

BUT... should you continue paying registration for a domain you have no intention of EVER using again, then you are paying money to age that domain so that once you DO let it go, the registrar can ask even MORE for it upon re-selling it.

Now comes the tough part... and that decision to renew or not is totally yours to make.

Best wishes.

Wow! This was a very good insight. I didn't see it like that. I am going to have to do some re-thinking about this before the expiration date.

It's not like I can't afford to pay for it. I can do that many times over. It's just that I wanted to know more about a parked domain and what would happen to it on the day it will expire here at W.A.
Also, I haven't blogged on it for almost 2 years.

I really thought it would be different from other hosting platforms. I want to thank you for such valuable information. I appreciate it.
All the best!

What do you mean when you say "I really thought it would be different from other hosting platforms"?

The WA servers are only connected to the WA membership site through links. The servers hosting our sites here they ARE a series of hosting platforms.

I meant is that I thought that the W.A. platform would be different from the way they handle a parked website. But it's no different. I guess all the platforms do follow a universal rule when a website is expired. You either renew it or let it go. I now understand. Thanks. All the best!

Hi

You have up to one month to still renew after it has expired, after that it would be released back to the public (believe in 80 days or so) then it is first come first serve basis.

Hope this helps.

Does that mean my site will no longer be in my possession? I was thinking that I created it and it will not be accessible to the public once it has expired. Who is selling it to the public? I bought it here at W.A. Please explain. Thanks.

You have one month to renew after it expires (usually you'd get an email notification a month before it expires), if you still want it I suggest you renew right away.

If you do not renew and pay the yearly fee, it will soon be released ( see notes above). ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) will release back to the public as unwanted domain, depending its value some domains may become premium and would be then more expensive to acquire again. However as that stage anyone can purchase it, first come first serve.

This is the same with every domain name.

So I suggest if you want it, you'd renew it right away.

This was helpful to know, friend. I appreciate your valuable reply. I will have to reconsider what I want to do about it, given the fact that it'll be two years old. I also haven't blogged on it for almost 2 years. This may add value. Thanks. All the best!

Hey John,
Regardless if it is parked or active if you still want to keep the domain name then it would need to be renewed otherwise after the time period lapses it will be available for the public to purchase.
So if you want to keep it get it renewed if you don't want it anymore then let it lapse and be done with it.
Andre.

I never had to let go of a website friend. I am struggling to understand that if I created it, why would it be released to the public for someone to buy it? Who is selling it? I bought it here at W.A. Please explain. Thanks.

In a Technical way, Websites are never totally owned by you.

Yes, you may have bought the domain name for the privilege of using that name and it is yours to use how you see fit but only while you maintain the registration.

Regardless of where you bought the domain name from, it is all controlled by ICANN.

Places like WA, Namecheap, Go Daddy etc are given authority by ICANN to give the domain search facilities to search for domain name availability along with authority to sell that domain name on their behalf.

It is the domain name that is the issue, not the actual website that you create from the various platforms available in our case WordPress.

Think of it this way the Domain name is a rented name that you as a registered owner has a claim to use it while you continue to pay rent.

The registration is basically saying you have full entitlements for the domain name that enables you to create a website via various platforms available to you.

The domain name is never owned by you. You are listed as the registered owner of that domain name while you continue to pay for the registration for the period available and agreed upon.

You don't pay the rent you will not have the access to keep it and therefore it will be auctioned off so to speak by being available.

If you Google what happens when a domain expires you will find a host of answers most from various hosting places which I don't want to provide a link with.

But here is one snapshot of an answer.

Hope that helps
Andre

I thought it would be different for having a parked and soon to be expired domain here at W.A, since I'm a paid member here, friend. But you've clarified the info very well for me to understand. Thanks. All the best!

Most welcome

If not renewed, it's available to the public after 30 day grace period.

I see friend. But who is selling it to the public? I bought it here at W.A.

WA Affiliate Program

Hello business friends,
Good evening. I'd like to know if W.A. has a QRS code associated with each of its promotional links. If so, where can we get them?
Thanks!---->

Hey John,

You would need to create your own QRS codes for EACH of your affiliate links, in order to profit from those who sign up after clicking on your QRS code.

If WA were to offer their own codes, they would not contain your affiliate links.

You can Google search to find a free site offering users to create these codes. See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

Good to know friend. I appreciate the info on where to get free QRS codes. Are we allowed to copy and paste the QRS code anywhere after connecting it to a link? What's do you know about that? Thanks.

Yes, I used to use one that, yes, I copied and pasted for use. Just be sure to read over whatever the "free" site states. Some MIGHT expect payment.

I would imagine that those sites that would expect money would somehow make it impossible for you to copy and paste the resulting QRS code unless it really is free.

Always test the code BEFORE issuing it, to make sure the code sends users to the proper URL and that your affiliate number is clearly displayed in the URL.

Thanks for the helpful information friend. I will make a note of it. All the best!

Hi John

I've recently looked at "flowcode" which provides QR codes in an unusual format that is worth investigating.
Take a look at this:
https://marketing.flowcode.com/

I am in the process f thinking through how best to test it with up to 10 free QR codes! If you look and have any thoughts on this, let's discuss.
:-)
Richard

I appreciate this site friend. I like the free membership offer due to the fact that you can use ten free QR codes and have them scan unlimited times. I probably use about three to promote W.A memberships.
One question: Are the QRS codes circular in design? I saw it on their website. Please let me know. Thanks.

Apparently yes. They say they get 9% more hits as circles than as squares.
:-)
Richard

Nice! It doesn't hurt to compare the results with the square and circle ones. I'll test the square and circle ones from different QRS companies. Thanks. All the best!

I have not come across any feature within W.A site. It seems it is not used or offered to subscribers.

Thanks for letting me know friend. I appreciate it. All the best!

I don't think WA has QR codes, but you can make up your own QR codes if that is of interest. Here's a site to make QR codes.

I think Facebook have a QR generator as well, a freebie. I can generate my posts in Facebook business to QR codes. Lol, still don’t like them tho, what Meta…
Stephen

This site has it all friend. And it's free!! I'll check them out and see what I can do. It has lots of features. Thanks. All the best!

🤔 I'm not sure either, John, but hanging on to see if you catch a definitive answer!

Jeff

Haha Jeffoi, I am sending you a QR generator. Please put a bazillion dollars into my PayPal account.

I already have about 50 of those antiques, Stevoi! 😲🙀😳

Probably worth a fortune now . Anything old is expensive, I’m waiting for someone to buy me. Lol.
Stevoi.

Me too, Stevoi! During the Steam Punk craze people wanted those for their ornate antique keys! I dismantled a couple of dud that I had and sold them, but I won't deface many of mine because they are nice, IMHO!

Jeffoi

I think I'm getting some good answers friend. It was worth the wait. Thanks. All the best!

That's the best generator of the generation back then friend. Lol!

There are many times when it is, John!

Jeff

Are you still using them today? Like, having one in your back office to type on as it reminds you of the past? I think you have a workable one, where you type on it once in a while, will be the coolest thing ever. A piece of working history is priceless, friend. All the best!

I believe that it sure would be, John!
