In trying to get a blog posted with pictures I am finding a lot of wasted space beside images that are not rectangular in shape. I am not finding an editing feature that will

When you upload an image to your post, you'll have the choice to set it to the right, middle, or left. If the image is small enough for you to add words at the left or right to it, there shouldn't be any issues.

Some theme lets you click on the image and as you adjust it to the left or right, it fills in the extra space with one of your closest paragraphs. It has happened to me friend.

So, try to edit your post in your dashboard and as you click on the image, you should see the option to move the image to the left or right to see if it fills in the space with one of your closest paragraphs or words that are closest to it. All the best!

Thank you. I went ahead and published it so now I see what happens to the text automatically. I will have to go back and edit it now to get the images in better locations but all these comments are helpful.

Several things that I found to work are: 1) check size of image, 2) alignment of image, and 3) check alignment of text (the process is picky the program is).

Canty

Thank you Canty.

Hi I used to have my images and placed wording around the text. As Diane said it’s not good for mobile phones so I did centre them and it works much better on mobile.

Thank you , Yvonne.

Your welcome.

Hi - make sure you take a look at your site on a mobile, if you intend to have text at the side of images. It may not come out as you planned it.

I always centre all my images to ensure it flows well on mobile.

Thank you, Diane, I will do that.

You can resize them , Archie and orient them to the left or right and type alongside them by making them smaller with your mouse pointer on the lower right corner! I wish I could load an image for you! I'll likely revisited this tomorrow, if someone hasn't already provided you a better answer, my friend!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. I will try that tomorrow. I am able to resize but just not able to type along side them
The cursor always wants to go above or below the image.
Archie

When you place the cursor on a corner it should turn into a double arrow and you can size it down diagonally ! It all depends upon what you are using though for an editor! I'm referring to Site Content here in WA!

Will give it a try, Jeff. Thanks.

I hope it works out, Archie!
