Thank, my beautiful. Motley Crue...First-stringers, My Happy Sandbox!
These, are the names, I have given, my folks, as, I began, this, wonderful, Journey...at, a time, where I was at a cross-roads...Get a job...sell, my retreat, as Landlord, NOT, for me! It, was monetary, motivated!!...Against, my core values!
While, Michigan, having spent 2 weeks, cleaning up, wreckage, of my little, safe, nest!... I had allowed, 2 young people in recovery...6 months, chance, to make, something better, but always, week to week... One rule!! Communicate!! ...Given, a wonderful, chance, they, pulled, another, into my sandbox...Heroine, soon, followed, again.
We cease fighting!...I was armed with tact and diplomacy...and did, my part, by the book. Set guidelines...I coming up now...Leave or we'll be roommates, But it's my house...and, I'm going to keep my house, safe! Armed, with a drill...not knowing, If I could, even, get, in... I felt violated... No more!!
Now, I have a dream, attracted, by this beautiful community...I found a safe, place to be me, and for the first, time, allowed, all, My beliefs, and tools, to be out there! Willingly, speaking, my truths, as I've, come to understand, them. Never , trying, to convert!! ... Manipulate, people, to my corner. The, 12 Steps, most freeing concept??!! ..."Turn my Will/thoughts and Lives/Actions...To a power, greater, than myself... God, of My Understanding!!!... My, God, was with me, and I had no voice...it didn't fit... Limited, imaginations...narrow-minded, religiously, bound, man made doctrine of legalistic, authority... I had a God, outside of the box!! I, had, arrived!... Now, 12 years, later... Jupiter cycle, again, my road is further, defined... All, in the continuing, process, of self- understanding... "Acceptance is the key to all my difficulties",today! Situations, needn't, be good or bad...It will, depend, solely, on my reactions. Or with, my maturity, New Learned Responses.
My, biggest, problem...and guess what, most everyone's...Defending, my EGO!! My, mask, my BS!!...Really, now!!?? ...
I look, forward to years of continuous, growth, and prosperity...all, good God given gifts! All, I need do...The next right, thing, practice FAITH..and let God, lead me on! He's paving the way!!

I had a very similar situation where I tried to help some kids but didn't get out of it until it was too late.. lesson learned.. take care of yourself first!! Love your blog and glad you are taking care of you.

All we can ever do is our best and self acceptance is important to acknowledge where we got it right.
It is not an easy task you've taken on. Other people can be such an unknown quality, and they can hover between positive & negative. Just be aware to protect yourself.

Aahhh, our egos! Isn't it true that our pride is the cause of most of our problems? We need to be right, and we want for others to be right to us. Someone once shared with me, "Never hold out expecting justice, but never cease to offer it." When I walk as though I have no rights whatsoever, the path is much more peaceful. That being said, if someone were to cause harm to my loved ones or friend, well then all bets are off. :-)
