Hi guys,
I'd like you opinion on this. How do you like your menu organized in Worpress?
Meaning..do you like categories showing up in the menu and than categorize your po

I have, as most people do, my blog roll as my home page. Which means, in my case, my latest blog post is what people land on. I think have info about me. My privacy policy and disclaimer are last in the menu. I have my information organized by general subject headings which are my menu headings. So the page listed on my menu explains that particular subject. Under that I have drop-down menus with more specific information related to that menu item. I hope this is what you were asking. I lay out my menu with general content headings and then specifics under each heading in drop down menus. This is because i am presenting a bunch of products and the menu makes them easy to find.

Ehi thanks For the answer, can I ask you to have a look at your website so I can better understand?

Ok, I had a look at you website. A lot of content you have there :) nice!
I got your menu logics. You explain in the main page listed on the menu what that section talks about, and then you have the pages, under that main page, that go over every subject related to that. I use instead dead links on the menu because I don't feel the need, for now, of a main page. Than I add my posts as sub items on the menu.
Thanks again!

Sounds like you are on the right track. My site is very superficial, but I am enjoying working on it.

I personally have a static page, with a dropdown menu for reviews, and my regular blog posts appear by date on the static page, but that's my site. Everybody's different. Go with what suits you (and your potential customers/followers) best. Cheers!

Hey thanks, could I have a look at your website to better understand?

Hi guys!

Today I wanna ask you this question.

Why it is NOT A GOOD IDEA TO JOIN A MLM company?

More than a question this is intended to be the opening for a d

I have personally eperienced MLM program shut down as soon as I got my feet in the door. I actually lost about $250 in this company.

Nine out of ten traditional businesses don't last 5 years, it is no different with MLM, if you want lifetime of income from a company don't join one under 10-15 years old, with a minimum turnover of 500 million dollars.

MLM's get a bad name, there's often too much focus on recruiting. I'm with one that doesn't involve recruiting.
Mine is offered to prospects as a video presentation, and doesn't start off with the usual rubbish of "Claim Your Spot Now, Time is Running Out" in fact they promote it as it being your business to grow it exactly as you choose.

That's my take anyway...

Thanks. It's appreciated!

My wife works with a network marketing or MLM company. They are honest with a real standout product. It is called Monat. I have had exposure to others that were either more like a pyramid scheme or pushing a very ordinary, if not inferior, product. To me if the product is solid, it can be a great way to sell it.

I agree with all your points, but to add on - MLMs are actually a legit business model ( depending on where you are ) but pyramid schemes are illegal.

The problem is most pyramid schemes with digital products disguise themselves as an MLM. I've read somewhere a long time ago that legally, MLMs need to have at least 70% of their products sold to buyers, if that makes sense. In the online world however most people buy their products to become sellers themselves so at the end of the day everyone is a seller.

Although, I've seen some legit MLM companies that are offering actual physical products like Herbalife.

Yes, probably in the digital product world the case gets worse. And what you say about the percentage of product sold to buyers, that can be a good parameter to evaluate a system. I heard that before too. If everyone is a seller something isn't right. At least for me.

A company is a company regardless of industry, it stands alone as a company and should not be judged by others in the industry, an industry is an industry and should not be defined or judged as a whole because of some bad companies.

Statically though the success rate is higher than affiliate marketing and the success rate in both the previous is lower than in illegal gifting schemes.

The fact most people don't hang around long enough to learn enough and are not persistent enough does not make an opportunity bad, it makes people lazy.

The company I just left worked with Richard Branson and was recommended by Donald Trump.

The company I have gone to has independent scientific recommendations on one of the products and seven out of eight independent reviews on bbb are positive, however you could find several scam reviews by people who knock good companies for traffic gains.

The fact is even really good opportunities are knocked by lazy people who want to point the finger at anyone but themselves.

Thanks for your take on this topic. As I said my experience in the MLM world is limited, I don't intend to judge the industry or any company in particular. The company I had this experience with is a digital company the sells training program to people that are going to sell the very same program (only if the buy the up-sells) to other people. at the end everyone would be selling this product. That sounded like scam to me. that's why I left. But I understand your point! We should not judge the whole industry for some bad companies. However many time the line between a fair company and a scammy company is a bit blurred. I know that results can come in this kind of company if you put the effort, but I prefer smaller result but more secure for the reason I mention in my question.
thanks again for sharing.

I find digital product MLM's are to be avoided as technology halves in price every few years and sometimes becomes free.

The industry on the whole is pulling in two directions right now, legit opportunities are getting better and the scams are getting worse.

Hope is on the horizon though with many companies starting to follow one 30 year old companies model, where there are no reps just customers who can earn through several levels of distribution by recommending other customers, with no rep sign up fees and no recruitment bonuses.

I would like to see the industry head further in that direction.

I like your statement Jeff, legit MLMs (usually physical products) have been around for quite some time and digital ones are getting worse. Digital ones seem to come and go, with old ones dying while new ones are constantly emerging.

hi,

I made the upgrade to premium and I want to buy a domain. Right now my site is theaffiliatemarketingjournal.siterubix.com, but having to buy the domain I'm considerin

Like already stated, any will work. The question I have for you is, which do you like the best? If you have a favorite, get that one.

However, assuming you don't, I'll also cast my vote for theaffiliatemarketingjournal.com since the term is in the domain.

Though I have to say, done right, findyourwayonline is very descriptive to your human readers, and I would lean toward that one from a personable point of view.

My thinking is theaffiliatemarketingjournal.com .. although it is long. Cheers, William.

I would stay with theaffiliatemarketingjournal.com because this domain includes name "affiliate", although, in my opinion, it is a little bit too long.

Any of those would work well. Have you done any keyword research for those URL's? That tends to help narrow down which option to go with. Hope that helps.
I would pick the findyourwayonline has a nice ring to it

Which of these domain do you think is best for promoting wa?

I just completed lesson 4 of Affiliate Bootcamp (the one in which you create the 3 pages that are going to be filled with posts).

The name of my website is The Af

I presume the 3 pages are actually "Menus" of your site? If so, here are my suggestions:

You need to be clear and precise when it comes to writing any content or headline for your website.

Build a Website - What is the purpose? Why do your audience need to build a website? - Write something like "Start Making Online Here" or "Get Started - If people immediately know what your website is about the moment they saw your site".

ways to make money online - Is this going to be a list article where it will share all the types of online opportunities?

Affiliate Programs - change it to something like "Good Opportunities vs. Bad Opportunities" or something that people will immediately know your menu is all about.

Hello, Thanks for your response.

Yes they are the menus of my site.

I put Build a Website since I already have a get started page, where I encourage people to find training and I promote WA.
But I get what you are saying. I'll find a way to differentiate them.

Ways to make money online - Yes here I would share different ways to monetize someone's presence online - like earning money through amazon, advertising on social media, building a list, sales strategies etc - what do you think?

Affiliate programs - I totally get what u are saying I'll change it in something along those lines.

In want to ask one more thing. I long do you think is going to take me to start making some income through this? Yesterday I read a post of a person that was making the second sell a month after the first sell O_O which I don't know how long it took her. If this is the case I'm a little worried. I really want this to work, and I don't wanna burn the steps of course, but that post got me a little discouraged.

Thanks for you help.

Good stuff! Those are also great topics :-) Wishing you every success.
