I made a WP theme using Artisteer. I uploaded it to my test site on WA. Anyone ever use that program? I think I will not use the theme i made but will use the Header Logo as i l

Actually you can do it yourself. I am going to explain it to you if you don't understand how to do it then please ask again. Open your blog and then use a screenshot or take the snipping tool available in Windows and make a copy of the page. Open it up in paint and then crop the image save as a JPEG and use as normally I have used
artisteer many times, but not for a long time it may be that if you open up the program you can click on header and download it and save it as a JPEG which would be easier.
If neither of these methods work send me your email address underneath and I will do it for you and send it to you

unfortunatly the edge is rounded. I think I will try to use Gimp or some other photoediting softwared to merge the text.

Open the rounded image in gimp. Copy the colour and make a background layer the same color once your rounded header is on top and merged then it will be a normal header.

I see you are premium pm me with your question or see if the answer is here this is all the training about Google analytics in one place

Google Analytics Demystified

Thanks going to study it now. The Yoast SEO plugin does not have a field like the All-In-one Seo plugin. But I like the Yoast as it makes Keyword suggestions.

I just noticed that Yoast does make a Google Analytics Plugin but it seem to have the same problems as you mentioned with JET Pack. To much stuff for a novice to handle.

there are two practicaL ways to insta GA with all in one plugin but Yoast is the best in my opinion or do it manually. However do not not install GA IT IS REALLY TOO NB

Opps did the install of Yoasts GA plugin. Used tracking code method. Actually I have a dummy site that i am doing this on WA. The Yoast plugin says it has authenticated. Will do on my real site after get the www issue resolved.

On my live site that I have on Hostgator and will move over later to WA (600 posts) my GA issue is the WWW. IF you go on GA to Admin then properties for the site in question there is a accessible field that has the URL. The URL has www and I simply want to take that off. It is accessible. Is that ok? After I resolve that then will install the tracking code as i did on my dummysite.

So my issue is can I remove "www" from the google analytics property setting?

Unfortunately Brian I don't post here so I can't answer that question put another question in the WordPress classroom

I noticed in Google Analytics I listed "www" but not in my name registrar or Host gator. Also inside Wordpress under settings i did not list www. Is is ok to just go into Google

I killed my website on GA because on GA it had www but the domain name and hosting account (Host Gator) had it listed without www. I waited one day then recreated the account but consistent with the usage which is without the www. I then installed the ID via Joast and GA states that is now operational.

The history starts from today but I could not trust the history prior because it was far less than the server logs at HostGator said it was. Thus i prefer to have it consistent. If you do have www on your name server and your host then I would put www in GA.

I also did the same with G webmaster tools to make it consistent. All seems to be fine now.

I listed my site in analytics two times, one with www and one with http , my tracking works, but don't know if this has anything to do with it.
Make sure you have your tracking code in the header so you don't have to add it to every post. There is a plug-in , I thing it's called header and footer, where you can add whatever you need to your header or footer. Hope this help

Thanks Marith, the classroom says to use All in One SEO as it has a field where you just add the tracking code. I like that but prefer to keep the Yoast SEO plugin. I was hoping to switch for a day to make the insertion but was wondering if going back to Yoast destroys the insertion.

I know inside GA it has a spot to insert the website and I could delete the www there to make it "consistent" but don't want to wreck the site.

If you use all in one just to insert the code, and then go back to yoast, it will destroy the insertion, I use the plug in I mentioned, and it works well. Can be used for more stuff too

Besides the code insertion there was the issue of "www" or no "www". Turns out you are actually pointing to a subdomain when you use www. Thus my site needs to be in that folder and mine is not but one layer up in the root folder for the site.

EXAMPLE:

http://wwww.mydomain.com

If you regularly use http://mydomain.com and on your host the contents are in the mydomain folder you are not correctly pointing google. Instead you are pointing google to a subdomian FOLDER called www inside your mydomain folder.

My solution:

I just went to google analytics and trashed my property http://www.mydomain.com and today will create a new property http://mydomain.com

After I do that then I will deal with the issue of code insertion.

Will post my final outcome. Thanks

Thanks for the info, I think mine is working, it show visits, but will do some extra checking, keep me updated

I have two questions on Google Analytic s. I am posting them separately to facilitate the discusion. I watched the videos but still have two issues.

QUESTION: I use the Yo

I agree. I think I will just use the All-In-One Seo plugin for now.

I don't know if it will be a good idea to switch between them, especially twice. Gus
