Hello again

May seem like a bit of a dumb question, but is Paypal the only method to receive payments?

I am currently based in Cambodia, and I am unable to access m

I'm with Awin.com - we are the largest affiliate network in the world, and we offer direct deposit pretty much globally, including Cambodia.

PM sent. Thanks :)

I use Paypal which I linked to my credit cards. As Mark pointed out, that is the easiest payment method I find out so far.

Set up a new email address and set up a business account with PayPal. Its free.
Or payoneer
Or payzer
Haven't used the last 2
I use PayPal all round the world
Amazon send cheques...
Some places direct debit

Cheers for the advice. However, I'm based in Cambodia, and Paypal is not affiliated with any banks here, so whilst I can receive money, I would be unable withdraw (or payout).
To open a new account in the UK, I need a UK phone for the 4 digit verification code, needed at the time of set-up.

Perhaps I can use a friend's number, who doesn't use Paypal.
Do Amazon only send cheques? With the postal system here, it would never arrive. :/

Depends which amazon you use. At moment I'm in New Zealand... And most sales are from the states

In nz they have to send a cheque as it is the only way to get paid
In the US they deposit it into our bank account

Failing getting a cheque the only other way is they pay in Amazon vouchers.... So.... No thanks.. Lol)

A lot of bigger companies will pay to international bank accounts... But that won't help you much

Basically most use PayPal. I lived in UK and Malaysia and PayPal is used in both countries commonly... So its always worked OK for me.

Can you access PayPal... Then forward the money to a friends bank account and get them give you?

Be interesting to see the replies. I use PayPal because it's the easiest and it's still a personal account.

Hi everyone

I'm very new to this. ;)

I was originally thinking of setting up a travel company for the LGBTQ community - given all of my own travel experience (an

My opinion.
You might want to narrow it down as blogs on travel is also a competitive niche. Adding what Mark has pointed out below, you may want to check a few websites with similar niche and see what are the things they have not explored, who are their audiences, location, age and so on. Overall, it's doable and potential niche for you given your experiences you already have.

All the best.

Hi there Brian,

When choosing a niche it's important to choose an audience rather than just a topic which you've done choosing the LGBTQ community.

However it's quite a large and diverse group and what will appeal to a 25 year old guy will be quite different to a woman who is 40+ for instance.

I think it's a great niche but I would narrow it down a bit more and think about what problem/s you will solve for that specific audience.

For example as a single traveller myself, I find the single supplement issue a real challenge. If someone could solve that problem for me by finding deals that solve the expense I would be very happy.

Anyway just my opinion. Good luck with that. It sounds like you have the perfect background for the niche.

Hey Mark

Firstly, many thanks for your speedy response!! :)

I should have mentioned in my original post that I do have a specific demographic in mind, you're quite right. ;)
It is the same audience I was targeting in my business plan for the original travel company idea.

Many thanks again for your help. I hope all is going really well for you!
Best

Great to hear Brian. Sounds like you've got it sorted. :) Thanks for the follow, am following you too. :)

Cheers
