Pretty self explanatory.
How do I transfer a wordpress site to wa?
Pretty self explanatory.
I'd reach out to site support as I think they'd be able to tell you the best way to do it. For me, I'd probably export my site, set it up here at WA with the same theme and then import it. Once done, I'd move the domain.
Site support might even offer to do it for you, I'm not sure on this but it's worth asking about.
Thank you. I tried support and got some computer response which I think sucks. Maybe I was in the wrong area. Will try again. I hope this whole program is not like that. Very impersonal and unprofessional. Brian
Just pick yes for a domain you own and then say other and then type out your message to them. They're pretty good at getting back to you quickly.
If you go to move or transfer a domain from one host to another, you need to obtain a transfer code from the current host. It’s like a password to prove the domain is yours to transfer.
Hey Merl, It'the pain in the butt Brian. I need to pull the trigger om my site. It,s through wordpress and I have gone as far as I can go with the knowledge that I have and to get hands on, voice to voice walk through help will cost 60 a month with today's discount. Not bad. WA is at 49 a month. It's not really about the money, it's about the help at this point. I'm a quick learn but I'm worried about the transfer as far as what I will get once I transfer it and if WA can help do what I have in mind. Would you go away from Wordpress or would you take the time to learn it's process?
Is your site a WP site now? If so, it’s a simple export and import. If not then it’s more of a copy and paste to recreate your posts on the new site. Personally, I think you’ll benefit from moving and going through the training here. The community is very helpful and WA is always improving and adding more features.
I’d take the time to learn it.
Yes the monthly is $49 which equals $588 a year, the annual is $359 (equivalent to $29 a month) and the special is $299 (equivalent to $25 a month), that’s a big savings (almost 50%). I actually believe it’s worth it anyway you go.
