What's the best theme to use for creating an online store and selling Amazon products?

Hey Brian,

Personally, I have found that it is NOT the theme that makes a site popular ... but the content provided. Once you discover your most popular posts, sprinkle related affiliate ads into those posts and VOILA! you will have a recipe for success.

Hope this helps you.

I have two domains I haven't done much with after a year, so I let them expire & deleted them from WA. On both occasions, I received an email from WA a few days later that

It's indeed very strange.

Yes, weird that is.. and you wonder if you did the right thing, I guess:)

Why does my site only get indexed after deleting it?

When I use apostrophes In searching for keywords in the WA Keyword Tool, I get a 'Contains invalid characters' message. Using an apostrophe in a keyword can change the results

You can't use a character like that in Jaaxy either. it may do the search, but not with the apostrophe. Your url will not allow those apostrophe's either.

It allows it in the url when you search in Google, but not in the KW tool. When I type in words like 'doesn't' or 'can't' without the apostrophe, the search volumes & QSR can change quite a bit.

Jaaxy allows it, I just tried then, it seems only the WA keyword tool doesn't allow it.

Does anyone know how I can hide the dates on my articles?

I show the last updated date on my site instead of the original publish date. I asked the theme creator to give me the code to use in my child theme's functions.php.

Don't forget that the dates will still show in the comments section unless you also add code to remove the date in comments.

~Jude

I've got it all sorted now, thanks Jude.

That would depend on which theme you're using.

I don't think most themes will let you hide it, so you'll either have to edit the theme code or us a plugin.

Thanks Chris. I'm using the Divi theme from Elegant Themes. I found a few plugins, but some haven't been updated in years, so I'm a bit hesitant to use them.

See if this helps... http://www.elegantenthusiast.com/date-and-author/

If not, you;ll have to luck into someone here using that theme or you can try their support.

I found the answer in the theme settings, thanks for your help.

Cool. Glad you figured it out.

I created an article about a month ago, and I've looked through ALL the pages listed in Google under that keyword, but mine was not there. Other pages had parts of the keyword

It's interesting, the 2 websites I have with content, both have a 20% site trust, whereas a site that has nothing built on it, has 30% site trust. I would assume that it is not accurate!

Is it safe to assume that the amount of social media you post your sites on affects the site trust? Every page I publish, I post it on Google + and Facebook. It can only help!

Did you perhaps build the website that has no content on it first, and build the one with content later?

The one with no content was created about a month earlier than the others, it is just an empty theme. The others have about 10 articles on them.

I would think so. From my sites, it would seem to be the length of time it's been up that makes the difference, though there is only one months difference.

You got that right. The reason it gives a different site trust is because of the length of time they were created and each month the site trust will increase. Read this blog.

Depends on a number of factors like your site authority. I have attached a screen capture showing that this blog post was ranked on the second page of Google 13 hours ago. It shows that WA is an authority site. I googled using the blog post title as the search terms.

That's quite incredible...

Cool huh :-)) stupid question maybe but have you checked the sitemap in google analytics as i had to manually add one of my pages that did not get done automatically :-)) hope you get sorted :-))

I'm guessing it depends on how much authority your site has. My site is 2 weeks old, and I can see its stats by looking at the "site health" within the site manager. Until the "site trust" value is raised, I'm not expecting it to be found on Google anywhere (currently 0%)

What value is your "site trust" %?

My site trust is at 20%

Work on building up your site trust, and you should start to see Google rankings

Thanks Josh!

As a fairly new member, I can't really give you the best tips on how to raise your site trust, but I do know that getting site feedback will help, as well as getting as many comments as possible on each page.

Check this out.
