Faith based Bloggers
Faith based bloggers have something that they need to keep their eye on when it comes to certain things, much more so than regular non faith based. I guess this is a generic term and is painting with the broad brush because that can go for just about anything, so what I am about to say may not matter to some. As difficult as it may be to find affiliate content that fits particular faith based websites, there is something that I believe should be recognized about Pay Per Click ads.
For the most part, faith based websites are usually better off without smutty pictures and content that actually undermines what it is that you are trying to get across in the first place. Wouldn't you agree? Particularly if you are operating a Christian site.
Now I'm not suggesting that people deliberately opt to place content on their site that is counter to what it is that they want to convey. What I would make people aware of is the content coming in on PPC ads, particularly the picture grid's that are most often used. Many of them rotate around so you don't necessarily see the same ads twice.Google isn't so bad, but they can get to the point that the others do depending on your settings in Adsense.
I am no authority at all with these different companies, so I can't advise which one gives you the most control over the ads they choose to display for you. But if you are operating a faith based theme or niche, I can advise that you should keep your eye on them.
This post came to mind because I've been to all kinds of Christian sites, and have seen the different images that most of the pages were filled with, or toward the bottom of the post / page. I know that if it were mine, and there were images on there that were counter to the message that I was working hard to get across, I'd want someone to tell me about it.
Maybe try to create an account with another company that gives you complete and particular control over each ad would make a difference. Personally, I think the best route is to avoid the issue altogether and go via straight on affiliate. That way you are placing exactly the right stuff for the right people, without the concern over someone else's idea of what's appropriate for your site.
But that's just my opinion. Thanks for reading!
