Hey guys!
I've been digging into my understanding of keywords and such. In the past I've always been directed to the Google Keyword Planner through Google's ad platform f
As Sondra said the Jaxxy tool is simple to use. But when you upgrade to Premium there are advanced features that make it really great. You can watch rankings on your site and do many other site related things.
Google Keyword Planner is another good tool for looking at keywords. I use it to see keywords that people are paying to advertise on. Usually if it has a high click cost then you have found a keyword that people are paying for. I use this in the Jaxxy tool to find even more.
The combination works well.

Awesome Glen!
That's exactly the kind of stuff I was wondering about. I really appreciate your response here!

google keyword planner is set up for advertising -so the competition is nothing to do with the number of sites but the strength of the keyword for advertising.
so any keyword tool that gives you data on how much competiton there is in reality along with figures - rather than googles now vague 10-100 etc- will give more of an indication ( and that is all it is) of what is out there.
google will still use all other 200 plus ranking bits of its algorithm to return the best - in its opinion- result to the query.
the keywords will give you an indication of what your niche are looking for - so you can target your information towards that.
this is just my opinion.

I like that it is super easy to get to Jaaxy from within the WA platform. Thus it saves me time.

Why use jaaxy over google keyword planner tool?

I'm just new, but ideally I'd really like to have a team helping me produce content or eventually just "own the system" and have content writer contractors producing my content
I use upwork.com. You can get anything from $5 article rewrites to $500 original scientific research. My recommendation is to be clear about how much you can afford, what quality of content you want, and how much time you want to spend managing/editing content.
Thanks man! I actually do software contracting on upwork com. Its good to hear that people are doing things like this in this community.
To start you can look at services that provide content writers such as iWriter and Textbroker
Have you looked into freelance sites? Freelancer.com, upwork.com, fiver.com, guru.com (just to name a few)?

Any recommendations on outsourcing content writers?

I'm actually opening this question in response to @tmaltz but letting it out there as public forum.
So I wrote down a lot of ideas from the "Choose your Niche" video, but
Exactly, this can be combined easily enough and I've seen this niche in the past. Actually it could be a bit more profitable than just doing IM product reviews/MMO niche.
Now you just need a great site name. How about RichLifeReviews.com
Just brainstorming. Got to Research (left menu) and start playing with the keyword research tool. You can see which domain names are out there.
Try to get a .com name or a .org or .net. but .com is the best.
Promoting WA is a good way to start making money immediately while you build up your niche website. Like harmsey89 said, you can combine the 2. That is what I am doing. I am promoting WA, and using discounted Personal Training as leverage when you go Premium. Since living in Ukraine is 70% cheaper than the US, I still lose no money by making huge discounts.
To me you could actually combine these 2 sites as one site. When you set up your site about building a better life you could have a category for MMO and another for Personal Development.

As a new WA business...
What is the recommendation about participating in affiliate product launches?

Hi Bret,
I think there’s a little bit of confusion here. Do you want to create an affiliate product and then promote that through affiliate marketers?
Or is there an affiliate program or promoter that is promoting a lunch that you would also like to promote? If that’s the case, that’s affiliate marketing.
And that’s what Wealthy Affiliate teaches you to do here. They teach you how to do this through your website, social media, email marketing, and advertising.
With affiliate marketing, you are either the affiliate marketer, or you are the affiliate product producer.
If you do want to promote somebody else’s product, how are you going to do that?
Do you have an email marketing list?
Do you really have a website that’s getting a lot of traffic?
If not, most new marketers try to spam social media websites, and that’s usually not an effective way to market products.
But you can certainly give it a try. A better way is to create a review on your website and then share that review with your social media websites.
If that doesn’t answer your questions, let me know.
Have a nice evening, Todd
You did answer my question, I think.
(ie. I think you are essentially saying - "yeah go for it")
Sorry I wrote that late and tired probably, haha.
Yes, I know of an affiliate launch coming up in about a month for a content creator's new product that I'm a big fan of - and I trust his work. (ie. I'm 'NOT' building my own product)
So I was going to make a review for the new product being launched (essentially start setting up an SEO review etc before the product has even been launched yet). So when it does launch, I'll be in a better position to receive search traffic from the product name as the keyword (which is practically non-existent / super low competition right now)
So my question really was, is this a good approach for a very new WA person/business?
So this would be a brand new website (probably a "make money online" review site) - and my first article would be promoting this launch.
I realize this isn't really an evergreen approach, but I remember a marketer telling me about this strategy way back with ranking YouTube videos prior to a new product launch.
Again, due to my curiosity - I'm probably going to go for it no matter what feedback I get here, but I just want to get other perspectives on this idea. Or if its 'more' recommended to build 'evergreen' content etc. I imagine the site I build WILL have evergreen content, its just my first review I want to promote this new product coming out.
Thanks!
I edited my original question to attempt to be more clear and helpful to people in the future.
Hey Bret,
No I get it. I think it’s a great idea if the make money online niche is your favorite niche.
You could always set up a website and target this specific product, that’s a great idea.
The fact that you have some extra time is a great opportunity for you to write a review that will be easy to rank and to write associated content that then you can link to that review.
So I’d get to work. Start taking the classes and most likely you’re going to be going the route of Wealthy Affiliate‘s boot camp program.
I’m sure if you put in a good amount of work from now until the product launch you’ll be able to produce a really cool looking website and have some really good content about that specific product.
Go for it!
Don’t hesitate to reach out to me or the community if you need a hand or any help.
Todd
Ah ok. So you are saying build a niche site around the 'product' specifically, right?!
That's great and it makes a lot of sense too. Then you build related articles targeting the 'problem' and offer up the product (review) as the 'solution' to the 'problem' keywords, etc.
Right? That's awesome.
You can certainly do that and this is an approach I really like. WA did an awesome 4 week training series about doing exactly that, if you want to see it, here it is.. WA LIVE Niche Case Study Series: Week 1 of 4 I started doing something like this with my therapy site but then didn't want to be limited by one product. So I named my site TherapyBoy.com - then it can always be developed into a bigger, authority site.
So it's you're call. If you build a product specific niche site, you can really focus on that specific product and build a cool mini niche site. Those sites are great cause once you get them to rank well, you can let them sit and they generate consistent income. It depends on how specific you go and the niche of course
At the same time, if you like the niche, don't go product specific, pick a more brand-able name.
My therapy site's main product that I started to promote about a year and a half ago, when I watched this webinar, is still one of the top ranked reviews online and the site has like 7 posts and 5 pages (that's a tiny site).
I need to update it, but it's a great example of focusing on one product, getting the rankings, then setting up a stable affiliate like Amazon. In this case I can go directly with the product's owner and sell the item on my site directly (eCommerce) if I wanted to.
You're call Bret, that's my 2 cents on the subject.
