Another Analogy Of Bread And WA

Again? Another Analogy? Will it ever end? No! Well, maybe for the bread and WA ones. Who knows when another one will strike! I was already making plans to bake more bread anyway (stocking top shelf in freezer). This one came to me as I was walking the dog this morning...

Again, bread has nothing to do with WA, unless you happen to have a sandwich while writing. Must...feed...growling...stomach...

And, here is what popped into my mind this morning:

1. Look at recipes = look at topics (ones you've already picked out to write)

2. Check ingredients = Check to see if you have all your information on hand

3. Go to store to get missing ingredients = Do more research

4. Check recipes and ingredients = Check your topics and information

5. Start mixing ingredients = Start writing your posts/articles

6. Put dough in oven = Take a short break to let the ideas settle in your brain (Note: another WA member (KSarton) gave me this idea! So this part is rewritten. Thank you!)

7. Timer dings! Check to make sure bread is done! = Check your articles for mistakes.

8. Slice, wrap and put in freezer = Put your finished articles in a file

Repeat! Continue until you have a nice stock of articles. Take a break. Then repeat the process again. Much like baking, the more you do it the better you get!

Note: The other day I had four small loaves from that recipe. Gave one to my parents. They liked it! And, I can't have the AC going while using the toaster oven. This is morning work before it gets too hot outside.

Note: I didn't know that your Status can change. Mine went from Top Creator to Top Helper.

For those of you who call me a man, I uploaded two photos from 2004. Yes, that's me on the right (before I got dentures), and yes, that man was my husband.

Fantastic analogy Brendie. I thought I was going to feast on break! Great post, thank you.

Glad you enjoyed it! You're welcome!

Love it! Motivates me to bake up some content. :)

Glad you love it!
Yes, motivation is good!

Love it, lets train, teach, and have fun at the same time.
Thanks, Brendie

Glad you love it!
You're welcome!
If you can't have fun while working, what good is it? What is the real value then?

There is no value if you are not having fun.

True!

Also, you hope to get pretty good at making dough in both cases.

Nicely put!

Keep that writing going.

Yes, good idea.

Love it!

Yay! Glad you love it!

I like it Thanks for sharing

You're welcome!
I had fun writing this one.

Nice one

Thank you

Love analogies :) for #6 you could equate it to taking a small break from writing to let the ideas settle in your brain, so that when you do #7 (check mistakes & such) you come with a fresh perspective :)

Sweet! Thank you! That one boggled the mind. I will edit that section now.

Sure thing :)
