Im smart enough not to respond-my instinct is DELETE. Question to y'all -DELETE?
Question? How to prevent this idiotic spamming emails. I've been getting a few of them lately and most orignates from other countries espeically the ones that is famous for scamming people. Is there a way to stop it from coming through?
I know it came from my "About Me Page" my email is listed there-Im thinking of removing that so I dont get these spamming and scammer emails. Is that possible?
Is there a spam filter we can use?
What you all think? I know some other WA Members have had problems like this one above. What any of you do about it? Please feel free share, respond, or advice.

I put all my mail via Mailwasher to rid myself of a lot of junk. It also has a facility to blacklist and block emails.

I understand this is a bore but I would not delete the email. I also have my email on my About Me page inviting people to contact me if they so wish. I have received some nice and interesting emails like that which resulted in some positive contacts.
I have received some nonsense comments/offers and they land in trash.I do not know if there is a filter. In my case, there were not enough negative things to worry about.

I will delete the email and block the address.

Often spammers crawl through websites looking for email addresses. There is no easy answer as these addresses then get used multiple times and sometimes get sold as well. Best thing is to block spammers.
what plugin would you recommend? I am trying Askimet but it asked for money for pro no way looking for free.
Hi Brenda , yes there are spam filters as Niagara mentions below. As well as that you can get a mbrr if plugins , including Captcha., That will block out spam. Jim
I got so many plugins. Jay says to limit to five. Other people view that its hogwash so which is it? More plugins gonna change my speed. Do I need to get the Goodbye Captcha plugin? I will add that. Other spam filters, I see on my wp page Askimet, WordPress Zero Spam, and Anti-Spam Bee. Got to check the speed how much it will change.
