Update: on repairing my laptop.

My youngest brother, Ed, who is also Deaf, a computer nerd and whiz walked me through every step to get to the hard drive cable. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the right part for a smaller screw to become undone. I had to order another smaller set of screwdrivers and one more part.

The videos were helpful. I struggled to get the screws out. They are small and the screwdrivers I ordered acoording to Ed wasn’t the right size. He encouraged me to order the magnetic ones as it’s easier to screw on and screw back on.

My physical body is disabled but not my head. I figured I could do it with just the videos. I got frustrated because I couldn't get the so tiny little screws out of the chassis. It was time to FaceTime my brother, Ed. Ed explained to me in so simple techniques on how to get the screws out. He was right that I didn't have proper tools. The tools I bought was for a newer model but not for my old MacBook Pro. He led me to the right product and I ordered it.

It should get here by tomorrow.

For now, take a break and return back to the repairs when I have the right tools then I can replace the defective part with the new one.

I take this challenge as a learning experience. Ed’s point is if you have the right tools with the right parts, easy peasy. Ditto, I got it.

This applies to the trainings we learn here at WA’s platform. If we have the right tools and the know how from the lessons to build a website and be an affiliate marketer then these tools pave the way for us to grow and prosper.

This platform gave me the know how. Likewise, Ed is teaching me the know how to replace a a part. It looked harder only because wasn't properly set up with the right tools.

Think about it, without the training here at WA, would any of you know how to build a site and find your niche? Sure, there are other courses out there that we can take and spend a lot of money on and maybe will struggle because it's a DIY without a live guidance.

This platform provides the overall value of walking us through, step by step from OEC, Bootcamp trainings, live trainings, live chats, questions and answers, site feedback and comments, site support, site manager, keyword tools, marketing tools, social media tools, ppc tools, and many more that values less than $400 a year. And no upsells how awesome is that? Some affiliate courses may cost about 3k a year or more but offers no live support. Would you pay?

Hi Brenda,
Sorry about that. Wow it is even in bold.

I never knew anything about website building. The value to me is the knowledge I gain.

The other value is the fact it is nice to see people from all over the world come together to work towards a common goal.

Best wishes,
Michael

Proper tools? I agree.

*** yes, the right tool for the right task = Success! ... :) ***

Agree both comments also.

That is correct. I second that.

Not only does WA provide the right tools, but it also provides detailed instruction on how to use them plus a map on how to get where you want to go. There's also continual improvement, 24/7 technical support, 24/7 emotional support, and weekly live training.

I think this might be the epitome of what's referred to as "The Whole Enchilada."

Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts. I like the whole enchilada comparison.

This platform has a solid backbone and I intend to keep leaning on it. Thank you for sharing this post Brenda.

Hi Brenda,
Good for you. Having a brother who is a computer whiz even better.

Best wishes,
Michael

Your thoughts to the above question in bold ?

Hi Brenda,
Sorry I must have missed something. Not sure of what the question is?

Michael

Please re read the bottom of my blog above you will see the question.

Hi, Brenda, you have a high EQ. If me? I think I will become easily frustrated,
Frankly, without the training here at WA, I would not have imagined myself building a site. As for niche? I better not start, otherwise, I will start another 'answering' time. WA community is just very helpful and that is wonderful.
Some affiliate courses may cost about 3k a year or more but offers no live support. Would you pay?
Of course, most of WA here will answer no but not those people who do not know. That is why we are here, to lead people to the best and wonderful WA platform, saving them their hard-earned money and learning from the like-minded community.
All the best, Brenda and take care.

Thanks for your response.

According to my EQ test I was 140/200. Not bad. Its not that high, I think just average. One thing though, now that Im older and after my husband’s death three years ago, I’ve learned more patience. When practicing patience, I also practice being calm, then I am more relaxed, the better I am to tackle a problem. No need to stress myself out. Makes it worse.

Brenda, not only good EQ but also having wisdom. So wise, don't stress yourself out. Keep it that way and be happy always. Blessings.

Another computer geek here.

This is the problem I have with laptops. Portability great but ease of working on - terrible.

Then there's the whole Mac vs PC thing. Macs are great if you're rich and don't want to ever have to work on them. ;)

Good luck.

It’s not that hard. Just need proper tools. Just like repairing a pc chassis, that is easy simple. I did for my PCs. Yes, Mac is an expensive instrument. I’m not rich, it was given as a gift, so need to get it fixed.

It depends on what sort of laptop you're trying to fix.

Take my ultrasound machine. That is a GE brand ultrasound which is basically a modified laptop, actually a PC in terms of operating system.

It needs a new CMOS battery. That should be the easiest repair in the world. No way, no way. You have to practically break the thing to get into it.

So sad...

I repaired my dell and hp laptop, no problems, all structures are basically the same. Apple Mac battery easy to replace, the ram easy to replace same as PC. You’ve given me some ideas. Thanks. I will discuss that with my brother, Ed.

*** that's right, Brenda --- this amazing WA platform contains pretty much everything needed to build a new on-line biz to Success..... appreciate your sharing & posting today ... all the best, cheerio ... :) ***

Thanks for commenting. Agreed.
