Just got indexed in Google

Yay, yay! I received an email stating that Google indexed me with my purchased domain name. I still need to do something with my site. I am planning on finding a WP theme that I like. I did not write my content.

I wanted a theme that would be easier for me to work with. It is frustrating. I return to the training to understand how to use the WP dashboard. There are some things inside WordPress that I need help understanding. I need to be more user-friendly for me.

It is frustrating when I do not know what I am doing. I do not know to code, and I do not even know how to do any of that or how linking works. It's like I am doing the same things repeatedly and not happy with the themes. I keep removing them.

Sigh; I will eventually get it, but I am still trying to find a user-friendly theme for now. I still am clueless. Even I followed Jay’s training.

I sound like a broken record, sorry.

Do you happen to know what WP theme to use that is user-friendly? The only one I could find that I like better is Schema or Splash. I am looking for a piece that has built-in ratings.

Comments and feedback are welcomed.

Thanks.

well done and good job keep it up

Been there, done that Brenda. I spent 6 weeks looking for a theme before I found a perfect one for my niche. Take your time, you will find a good theme.

Congrats for the indexing and ranking.

Mark

Hi Brenda,

I'm sorry I missed this post the other day. Congrats on your site getting indexed.

I am currently using two free themes on my sites. They are sister themes, so they are kind of related.

One is Kale. The other is Juliet - which is a bit more pink. If you decide to got with either one of those, you can always PM me with questions. I've worked with them for well over a year, so I have a pretty decent grasp of how to do things in them.

At the moment, I would suggest you try to think about things to write, so you can start building up content. You can worry about beautifying your site a little bit later. The content itself moves between different themes pretty well.

It is the headers, menus and layout's that you frequently have to re-do whenever you change.

That's great Brenda. Keep up the good work.

Awesome, nice work!

Great Google! That is progress. I have been theme shopping for months. I can't give exact advice, but I am searching for drag and drop type theme, that may cost a little extra. I have 5 websites, 1 of which is the worst theme I employed with all my best content. Now I'm afraid to mess with that. Haha! Back country roads can be so long, and the theme quest reminds me of one of these road trips. I look forward to seeing responses because this is a great question.

On long back country road trips always be safe, cautious, and carry your potato gun. Boom, Boom, out go the lights. lol

Making a living, making a difference. Looking for laughs.

That one almost made me pee myself! Lmaooooo BOOM BABY!😆

Congratulations on getting your website indexed, Brenda, that's an important first step. It looks like you are on Level 1 in the training so there is still a lot more information to come. Just take your time, go back over things as necessary and if there is still something you don't understand raise the specific question here.
Don't stress over your them at this point, it really is very easy to change it a little further down the road when you have a little more experience, that's what we did and we are now very happy with our second choice. Also, when you visit other websites if you see one you like the look of, check out what theme they are using. You can frequently find the name of the theme in the footer at the bottom of the page and if it's not there you can use this to identify the theme;

Good luck.

Brenda that is great! Congratulations. I am kind of in the same boat. I am trying to learn to connect the dots so to speak, but I will tell you, little by little, I am learning something new. What I do is write a lot of notes to remind myself after I see the video training, and go back, when I start to implement, because I will forget. It takes time, and believe me, takes A LOT OF PATIENCE. Grab a cup of coffee, and plan on being in front of the computer for hrs. at a time. Trust me, that is all I have been doing.
Once someone tells me how to RESET my account, maybe I will get noticed, for my posts, and possibly INDEXED. lol
Have a great Sunday.

Thanks for your lovely suggestions. I would love to have my famous blended with ice mocha coffee. Yum. Unfortunately, darn, cant have coffee due to a medical reason. Instead I drink small amounts of green tea or white tea with peach pomegranate. To be honest, I didnt do a thing, just left it sitting there, got indexed. Interesting. I must be doing something right when I followed the trainings. Good point, take notes. I did that on my iPad briefly then got distracted by other things while on my MacBook Pro, poor laptop, looks like its wearing out from excessive usage. I use my iPad too seems to perform a lot better than my laptop. To reset, ask for help at Site Support, they respond to my issues promptly.

Maybe rephrase your questions if you do that you will get a response thats what I had to do.

Congrats. Keep up the good work.

Thank you. I am working on my content writing.

Well done on getting indexed. That’s a good start for your website.

Thank you.
