Is there somewhere on my dashboard where I can see how many views on my website?

You can also install a plugin that will give you stats on how many people visit and what they look at on your website.

Check out this link. https://analytics.google.com/analytics/academy/course/6

Hi, submit your property (website) to Google. Try Kyle's Webmaster Tools (now Google Search Console) lecture in Level 4. You may also have a Monster Insights plug-in to see page views. Regards, A

You can also do this, yes, if you haven't already, but please bear in mind that Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics are two different services. GSC will only show you data related to its own search engine. Google Analytics will show you all data from all sources.

Have you set up and configured Google Analytics yet?

Thanks to you all who helped with my question. I have created a static home page so thanks for pointing me in the right direction

Good evening to you, Brenda. Every theme is a little different so bear with me. In every theme I have used I had to build a Home page. In my dashboard I select >Pages>add new> and for the title I simple call it "Home".
Next I go to Appearance>Customize> and on the right-hand side of your dashboard will be a selection something like Homepage Settings.
I select this and I get a choice of A "static page" for home, and "post page". These two boxes must be completed, for me I made the Homepage "Home", and the Post Page my "Blog".
You will also need to add this "Home" page to your menu.

I believe these steps will accomplish what you are requesting. I hope this helps.
Ken

Hi Ken, thanks so much I shall give it a go. Can I ask what theme you use? Also can I look at your website? What is the address?

Cheers Brenda

Https://LiveSimpleToLiveFree.com is one of my themes. Another site with a better theme is: https://HowToMakeMoneyEZ.com. If you scroll down to the bottom of the screen most theme names are displayed.
Ken

Hi Brenda,

Maybe you are referring to changing your homepage from showing blog posts to a static page?

If so, then here is how to do it:

1) Log into your WordPress admin panel.

2) Look to the left-hand sidebar menu and click the Settings option.

3) From the expanded menu, click on the Reading option.
You are brought to the Reading Settings page. From here, locate the Frontpage displays section and selects the radio button for A static page.

4) Next, select the page you want as your front page from the Frontpage: dropdown.

5) Finally, set the Posts page: dropdown to –Select–. This effectively removes it from displaying on your site.

6) Click on the Save Changes button to activate the new setup.

I hope it helps,
Ferra

Hi Brenda,

How do I find other wealthy affiliate people's websites to look at?

Hi Brenda
If you look on the right hand side of their profile page, you will see a 'Follow Me On' section below their profile picture and above the profile photos of the new Community Members, as per the attached screenshot.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi Brenda,

Some people do put their website URL and social media link under their profile.

You could also check out the give and take thread: I hope it helps,

There are so many themes to look through it's confusing. I'm looking for a way to have about 6 headings across the top with my blogs under headings. Can anyone suggest a good

Hi Brenda! Here are some to choose from Uncode, Stockholm, Divi, Newspaper, and The Core. Cheers. Florentino

Hi there,

In terms of easy setting, SEO friendly, fast, the best one would be Generate Press. Have you tried it?

If the font of your chosen theme is too big, you may want to customize it and change it by visiting WP back office (Dashboard), hover to Appearance -- Customize.

Also, be careful in choosing a theme, slow theme means slow business.

Here is a great blog post talking about the different themes in terms of how fast it loads: All the best,
Ferra

I don't need to reply as you've done it for me haha

👍😎 Beat you to it.

Hi Ferra,
I haven't tried it so just did and I like it so will stick with it. However my homepage photo has now disappeared and I can't work out how to get it back.
Also I have had a play around to try and set out my blogs how I want to and I've made a bit of a mess.
I want to have headings across the top of the home page with blogs under the headings. Can't work out how to do this.
Any ideas?

Hi Brenda,

You can go to your WordPress back office, hover to Appearance, then click Customize -- Site Identity.

If you want a picture on top, it's called Header image. Or are you talking about Logo?

I don't see Header image setting for Generate Press, however you can set up your logo in Site Identity.

After you set up your logo, then if you want to have blog posts on the main page, hover to Homepage setting, choose Your latest post.

I hope it helps. Please let us know if you have more questions.

At what stage does my website go live? If I search on Google now it's not showing up. I've just finished loading the privacy policy.

Cheers

Hi - you have to wait for Google to find it first. As Chrystopher has said, this can take up to a couple of weeks. You will get an email to notify you when it happens.

Your website is Live as soon as you create it

I.e. Anyone can Publicly view it, if they have the link

However, it is not on Google until it is Indexed, which can take from 3-14 days usually.

It will then enter the Ranking stage, and ranks will change over time.

To find your website on Google you can type the following, replacing domain with your own domain name

site:http://domain.com

Going through the Training, you will get to a Step, that shows you how to setup the Google Search Console A.K.A Google Webmaster Tools, which will guide you through adding a Sitemap to Google, containing all of your Posts & Pages.

Hope this helps,
Chrystopher
