Sounds like it is a feature of the theme. Often people use tags to organize the display of various blog rolls. You can make this work for you if you do it correctly. Organizing with tags can be similar to organizing with categories. I tend to like using categories myself

You could easily do this under the same blog with different categories. For instance, you could set up a category in your blog for each of those topics. Then when you are done writing the post, you would just select the appropriate category.
