More Money Might Not Give You the Life You've Always Wanted
You see it promised everywhere in online marketing...
Make $$$, live the life you've always wanted!
Here's the problem. Some of our problems aren't caused by money shortages. They're just highlighted by them.
If you're addicted to spending money, making more money might just make your situation worse.
If you're a repeat offender when it comes to living beyond your means, making more money can potentially sink you a little further.
So it's okay to earn more money - nothing wrong with hard work and ingenuity and increasing our income. BUT...
It's also important to grow personally. That is, it's vital to make better choices, to collect wisdom, and to exchange our bad habits for better ones so that when we do make more money, we'll be more responsible and more generous with it.
The "life you've always wanted" can't be bought with any amount of cash.
So yes, earn more. But along the way, learn more!

i agree! the time is near when I leave my job and become self-employed and make more money, however I will still be frugal like I am now.
I'm with you on this one, Brandon.
Making money shouldn't be the goal here, but the side effect of doing what you love and helping people on the way. That's the WA way, right? ;)
As you said, there's no point on having all the money in the world if you're just gonna spend it and enter a vicious circle where you just need more and more all the time.
Thanks for the food for thought!

The amount of money you earn, should be the reward for your help to people so that you can help more people. But unfortunately it's not so.
