I love this, from John Maxwell...

The thing about respect is that you should show it to others, even before they have done anything to warrant it, simply because they are human beings. But at the same time, you should always expect to have to earn it from others.

So true. Respect people before they've earned it. Before you know anything about them. But always seek to earn the respect of others.

That's good business. It's good leadership. And it's good life stuff!

Don't stop building relationships. You can't be close friends with everyone, but there's no reason why you can't meet another person today. Never underestimate the power of showing respect to people.
