Week 12 - 14M WA BC

As we head into week 12 of the WA Business Challenge I am exhausted.
Some of you may recall me saying that I have a set of twins. Well Miranda moved back to Canada a couple weeks ago which was disappointing but it was a the right choice for her.
Upon arriving in Canada, she promptly got a job making pretty good money. Then on her way home from work on her first day, she was in a car accident (not her fault) totaling her car and breaking her ankle.
She was in extreme pain since they told her to take Tylenol for pain. Is that normal in Canada? Anyways, a long story short she didn't get much sleep that first night and woke up with the flu as well.
Needless to say, she no longer has that job but was invited to call them once she if fully recovered, so there is that.
Now Hailey is going to visit them to take care of her for a couple weeks and getting her to and from appointments with the surgeon to see if her ankle will require surgery once the swelling goes down and hopefully the pain subsided.
After Miranda is more stable and comfortable on her own Hailey will be temporarily relocating to Santa Barbara to take care of her grandmother on her dads side as she has Alzheimer's and cannot be left alone with the closest relative 5 hours away.

The point of the story is that I have been dealing with lawyers and medical specialists both here and in Canada and coordinating travel and medical care so I have not been accomplishing much this past week with respect to business (thankfully that has been pretty quiet for the time being) or my websites with the exception of answering messages and responding.
I hope everyone else is having a better start to the new year.

Yes, I agree. Life does throw us curveballs sometimes. And it has been a few stressful days but it is mostly sorted now, thankfully.
If only the feet warmers somehow learned to be coolers 🥶 during the summer, hmm. Now that would be something! :-D 🐶🐶 They are the best!

Yes, thank you. It is mainly sorted now. Hailey is with her now to help her. She sees the surgeon today, and we will know more after that. And the lawyer is looking into things for us.

Hi Cathy…sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with so much, especially your daughter’s relocation and accident. How awful. But I’m not surprised to hear of the Tylenol…Canadian medical system is in a shambles and anything but what it is portrayed. I do hope recovery goes smoothly and your stress is lessened soon. Love your dogs…I have a chocolate lab who warms my feet too.

I think everything will be sorted the first part of next week. So that will be a load off of my mind, And Hailey arrives in Canada in just a few hours to help her so that is another plus.

Sorry your year is off to such a rough start.
I'm thankful that your Miranda only has the broken ankle, as it could have been horrific given it totaled her car. How awesome her sister went quickly to her side.
Hopefully you'll get the lawyers and medical stuff squared away soon.

Yes, it could have been a lot worse, and it is fantastic that her sister is on her way to help her.
As for the lawyer, I think that is sorted. He is supposed to call us back Monday or Tuesday to let us know for sure since it's a cross-border thing.

It must have been exciting growing up with twins (double amount of love). You have so much to be thankful for as a mother. I am glad that your daughter is fine.
Love your foot warmers, their jobs are already cut out for them. You must provide them with lots of goodies.
Looks like your cup runneth over so don't spread yourself too thin. Remember, you are the Head Chief in Charge (HCC) lol, so stay strong.
