Why Would Someone Listen To You?

Over the last few days I have been working with a couple of people on their sites. One of the questions that was asked is why would anyone come to my site and buy from me.

Several reasons.

1. Is that with your content they have come to trust you. It is called relationship marketing.

2. The big reason is that they have a problem that you are going to solve for them. That is the biggest one. That is the one that will make money for you. Find a problem and offer a solution that has the potential of making you money.

The baker knows that people want bread and cannot bake it themselves. He solves that problem and they benefit because now they have bread. In the meantime the baker makes money.

When you write content for your site don't just write content to be writing content. Don't get everything right with all the keywords just to have a good post.

Write content that helps fill the needs of your reader. It does not have to be you selling something to them every post but it does have to have benefit in the post for the reader.

For instance, I read a great post today about living consciously. Was not selling anything but there was definitely a benefit for the reader. That is good content.

Writing content just to write content to fill up a site does not work.

If you want traffic, if you want readers who turn into buyers, then you have to be writing content that helps solve a problem, content that fills a need, content that helps them live better etc.. Something that is going to benefit them.

Look at your content. In each post that you have made is there something in there that people will benefit from. Not implied but that will clearly benefit from.

Look at the blogs where the owners make a million dollars a year from it. Yes, there are sites like that. Every post is about giving their readers something they want even if it is information about their favorite sport team.

How did that solve a problem. They need information about their favorite sport team and they provided the information.

Giving information can help benefit people.

This is something that you have to do in your content.

Do not create content just to create content.

Find a need and fill it and you will be telling us of your successes.
