People on here have commented that I get right to the point. That I tell it like it is. That I keep things simple.
They are right.
This will be one of my most direct to the point post so far so get ready for this.
Okay here is the other side of the fence.
I have spent time on here writing about how if you are going to build a business it is up to you.
It does not depend on Wealthy Affiliate. Wealthy Affiliate was setup as a place for you to learn how to build a business and have a community support you in that journey.
It has been proven over and over that it works.
If it works for others than when we do not build a business it is not Wealthy Affiliates fault.
You have seen this happen. Someone comes here for however long they are here and do not make money or build a business. The first thing you know they are out there bad mouthing Wealthy Affiliate because it does not work.
No, it falls on us.
What we need is here.
There are too many success stories.
Here is the Good News
No matter what you think.
No matter what you believe
No matter what others tell you
You have the talent
You have the ability
You have what it takes to learn to build a business using what is taught at here at Wealthy Affiliate.
I have had people send me long messages about why they think they cannot do this.
If you can write a long message about why you think you cannot do this then you have the communication skills to do this.
I have had people say they cannot do this because they do not know enough about computers.
It is not that you do not know enough about computers it is that you have more to learn about computers.
I have had people say they cannot learn so they cannot do this.
Well you learned how to get logged in and send a private message or leave a comment here on Wealthy Affiliate. That is something you did not know before so you can learn. You just proved by being able to say that you cannot learn in writing that you can learn.
I have had people say they learn to slow.
I talk to a lot of people and I have yet to meet the person that does not start to learn something new that does not take time to learn something.
Have you ever been walking slowly along a beach enjoying the sunshine. Yet there are others running along the beach. Some are walking rapidly along the beach. You don't say oh I cannot move as fast as they do. You do not compare what they are doing to what you are doing. You just keep enjoying moving along at your own pace because it is right for you.
What does this have to be different. Why does it have to be that you are slower. Why can it not be that you are moving at the pace that suits you.
My conclusion after talking to a lot of you.
I have yet to find the first person here that could not do this. Some of you may decide this is not what you want to do and that is okay. But the person that cannot do this is not on here.
It is time to quit believing what others tell you.
It is time to quit believing the reasons you try to use to convince yourself you cannot do this.
It is time to know not believe but know you can do this.
There it is.

You can do this.
I know you can and I believe in your abilities to move forward.

This one was me. I am one of those who happens to learn a little slower now than I did in the past. I can use a computer but really knew nothing about them as we had "tech support" where I worked. I am now retired and have some health issues so it is taking me longer to work through the training and "retain" it. I am at peace with that, however. So what if it takes me longer I am enjoying the journey and it is really a journey of sorts. Who knew what a widget was months ago. I am writing posts but taking my time to understand how to do it right. The point, as you said, is to just do this and at whatever your speed is but just do it. If you do not you will always wonder if it could have worked for you.
Awesome post, people believe in the negativity because that is all they know. I was one of those people too but I wrote a children's book and got it publish I just did not have the money to promote the book. So I know I can do this business I have the faith in God to help me out. This was delivered to my email box and I opened it and it was WA. I look at it and I said that I could do it. I am working hard to make it here. So if I could do this anybody can.
I am waiting to get the money together to promote it. That is why I am here in WA trying to get the money together.
YOU are certainly helping us a lot learning how to do this.
And I love those two wheels... no excuse now for anyone not to get a move on... :-) Just hang onto Bo's posts and you'll all get there...
(When I was new to driving in London, where my son lives, he told me, whenever I was hesitating, 'Just follow the taxi'... the taxi ahead obviously knew the route well.... so we'll now say 'Just follow Bo's bike'...) :-)
Thank Granny! The best way to learn how to do something is to find someone doing what we want to do and follow what they do.

My post for Monday that I am just starting to write the rough draft for. Is all about self-pity and learning to teach yourself how you can do anything you really want to do.
Just remember that you're not that special, everyone has adversities and has to make choices about what they can do to make the things they want, become who they are.
That means if you don't know something it's up to you to learn it. If you don't want something bad enough, then don't blame anything but yourself for not trying.
The last thing is to find happiness and have successes, you have to be willing to learn. You have to be willing to make changes, and you have to be willing to accept and move forward.
Nothing is ever just handed out to those who don't first tell themselves they want it bad enough.

Ohhh boy, those words of wisdom are haunting Bo. To me almost Zen-like.
I'm getting to like writing. Yes, what you say are soo dang true, at least for me. I thought I couldn't write, still can't but am getting better in my mind anyway.
Your earlier posts about presenting a problem and giving the solution to the problem made me see writing more crystal clear for me and I thank you for that.
I can still hear you telling me, "Do it! You can do it Frank! I know you can!" Those words of confidence have helped me along, big time. Thanks again my mentor.

Great work and I couldn't agree more. I also understand that requires a more open mind to realize that any failure in doing business is due to how we try to make it work . The internal voice tell us that something is not right but we insist without doing some tweaks . Business need adjustments as it is an alive entity.
I have learned that for me to succeed on my third e-commerce business as my previous two were not successful (" I have learned another two ways for not doing e-commerce" +/- T Edison , was to update the Marcus' mother board and I am a like happy man finding WA where I can find all that I was missing to succeeded.
I really enjoy reading your work- It is fantastic and straight to the point.
Yes if somethitng is not working it is not time to quit is it time to find what works. If we do not change something that is not working it will still not work.
Very well put. What you have pointed out, is true of any endeavor a person undertakes. At WA there is a fantastic platform to help you and wonderful support from a very large community. If you can't make it here, then affiliate marketing may not be for you. As a newbie, I have had setbacks, but they were not because of WA, they were my problem. So I have returned to the beginning, of my lessons, and this time I will get it right. Does anyone want to join me?
Great post Bo. I'm still learning, still not gaining traffic, but either I'm dedicated or stubborn, whatever you can call it. I will figure it out, I will review the training, until things improve.
I've had a person ask me "how do you know if ANY of those peeps who claim they're making money at home are not lying?"
That's a disturbing thought.
My answer? These peeps, whose blogs I've seen, whose blogs have 300 post or more - I don't think they're doing that for recreation lol!
One has to brush aside those kinds of comments and keep going.

Great post, I was slow to learn as it was just so out my comfort zone, however when I set out I already decided that quitting is not an option and I am glad I made that choice, there were days when I felt I had achieved nothing and other days I felt I was dancing in the rain, this is the place to be if you want results but we have to have the persistence to get there
How is your comfort zone doing it? Are you moving back in?
