Yes totally agree. Do something even if it is not right. If it is not right you learn what not to do. If you never do any thing, you never learn what works and doesn't.
I did this on my first brick and mortar business, 20 years ago. I went from building cabinets, to working for a carpet cleaning company, to owning it 3 months later. I had run it successfully for 6.5 years before selling it. I worked as an electrician for 2 years. Then into hatred facing, which I'm doing now with the same company for 17 years. So I'm not afraid of change! But the online thing for me is very different than hands on. This is a massive change for me, but I will move forward as time permits. I appreciate this kicker.

Well, if THAT doesn't uproot the procrastinators, I sure as hell don't know what will!! It certainly made me take some notice!

That is what we did to buy the 4-plex. We took a leap...glad we did! In two months we went from never owning our own place to owning a very clean, well cared for three story building with 4 apartments, 4 garages and hopefully free rent for us!
It is not my chosen lifestyle (apartment living) but it is a great investment and a leap we had to take in order to get ahead. We will save about $1300 a month from what we paid before in rent and utilities. In a year or two we can buy another property. Of course this took having my husband's VA loan in order to afford it, but the principle of jumping in even when something is scary and being willing to totally change your lifestyle to get ahead is the same.
Thanks! I dreamed of getting into real estate for many years. I felt it was smart since my parents did it and my grandpa did it.
We were finally in a position to make it work. We will save from this building to have a down payment for the next and use an FHA loan. The next will be a duplex or tri-plex and then a few more years down the line we will finally be able to afford a real house! The housing market is very expensive here so it is difficult.
Way to go that is great. That is the way that wealth and a business is built. One step at a time.
