Internet Marketing Work - Earnings Review
I had 3 people say they wanted to talk to me this week about an idea to make money on the web.......
I have heard this quite a few times during my 16+ years of doing the Internet Marketing thing. I have wasted a lot of time trying to find the NEXT BIG THING that makes me rich. I am still looking.. but along the way I have figured out how to get money when I need it on the web and I think that is a good thing.
Something has to be sold by someone to make money.. if you want to make money on the web.. you have to sell something, or help someone sell something!
I see several earnings updates here and know it is good to read those blog posts. It is a way to get and stay motivated. Big Fine Cars and Fancy Houses are used a lot in the Internet World to entice people to buy in to a system that does not work for most people. My Earnings Review for this Past Week (I hit 5 of the 6)
- Affiliate Programs - CHECK - I have had a few renewals this week at WA (Thanks Kyle and Carson)
- Adsense - CHECK - I earn money from Google Every Day - Thanks Google!
- Building a List - CHECK - I have a lot - I sold some CDs and Tickets from emails I sent out this week - Thanks Beach Music Friends!
- Amazon Products - NOTHING ( I don't do much of this...You can make money without it!)
- Relevant Advertisers - CHECK - I have monthly advertisers on several sites.
- Create Your Own Product - CHECK - I sold a website update last week - I also have an original product created by someone else that I helped build the e-commerce store.. I get paid every time he gets paid from the website... It is a nice way to earn money too.. especially when you have a product that people want.
Keep at it! You are in the right place to learn!

Excellent list of options! 18+ years' experience is deinitely a large factor...perhaps you could share some pointers/direction into landing page setup? what to avoid? etc.....
Just keep writing good content and pay attention to the call to action.. if you never ask the person reading your website blog post to do something, you will never get them to do it.
Thank you for the advice, I have to organize better...just basically 'purged' one of my websites....constructed poorly, too scattered (one of my first before coming here.....it was a true travesty! haha)....One of its largest failings was 'good' content, sometimes 'any' content would have done better...oh well, live and learn....
I think the rules prohibit us from discussing specific programs here at WA. However, if you are looking at an affiliate opportunity and describe its features, I think our members can help you steer clear of scams. What are the WA rules related to discussing pros and cons of specific programs with the objective of helping members avoid scams?
Is this directed at me or the community? I wasn't asking about anything particular above. I guess it could be read that way. I was just making a comment about the constant offerings of people to make money Wealthy Affiliate is the place to learn how to maake money on the web ethically.
I think you post was very appropriate. It shows we can make money, and you are definitely within the rules because you didnʻt give your affiliate links.
I am still trying to figure out what is allowed when discussing the pros and cons of a particular program. For instance, many people are promoting Empower Network. When I was introduced to the program they told me I could get started for $25. What they didnʻt tell me was the big money is made selling a $5000 training program. That falls under my definition of a scam.
I have been using a optin list, autoresponder and webinar service from a company I have been affiliated with for several years. They just introduced a very expensive backend product that provides $900 commissions. I am thinking of leaving the company, because I donʻt want to use the product and I cannot recommend it because I have no personal experience with the program.
I like WA because the training is amazing. The support in this form cannot be beat thanks to all the helpful people who participate here. And because there is no up-sell. Everything is available for one low monthly price.
One of the big things we can do here is help each other avoid scams and find legitimate affiliate and MLM programs. I know Kyle recommends posting program reviews on our websites and then have us ask members to critque the review. So my question, Is it ok to ask for opinions about a specific "xyz company" in this forum?
You gotta sell something. Far to many people get involved in selling a worthless product. My definition of a scam is selling someoneʻs training program "that does not work for most people." Most people who sell these scams are honest people who have been caught up in the hype. A few of the leaders donʻt care who they hurt as long as they make money.
Definitely tried about these other scams that pop up everywhere... They don't care as long as they get your money!
