Facebook Page Changes and Politics
Facebook changed the layout of pages yesterday, Wednesday August 3rd.
At least, I think it was yesterday. I am okay with the layout changes, some things are improved. I think it was done to force more advertising since the promotion block is even more prominent on the pages you admin.
Also, be very careful with political posts... like it or not, FB is censoring posts and shares. It has been reported by a lot of sources and I have seen firsthand what they are doing to friends and associates of mine.
I try not to share politics for many reasons, mostly not to lose my ability to market my clients. I have liked quite a few things that I do agree with, but rarely will I share anything that may put my account at risk.
You may agree or disagree with facebook policies, they are big enough not to be concerned. You do have options to leave, but I can't do it with my business accounts in place.
What are your thoughts on the new page look?

Freedom of speech is going out the window.....it's only a matter of time until we are censored on all fronts. I am not sure if I noticed any real difference with the look of fb apart from my inset picture looks bigger...is that what you mean?
It may be a Browser thing. The look on my chrome browser is really different. It is Pages only, has not affected personal profiles yet that I am aware of.
I was looking at pages in chrome as well and not noticing anything yet but I am in Australia so may be those things haven't touched our shores yet?
Quite Possible. This is what I am seeing - Yesterday the logo on the left was on top of the profile and the yellow bar in the picture was overwritten with title information about the page. There were drop downs for like/follow/message in the yellow background area too.. now that has all moved

Well on Chrome, My timeline no longer has texts on the picture and the page nav tabs has moved to the left side of the page
You are welcome. Many here are not using facebook, which is totally okay for most business niches. It is not required by any means to be successful in Affiliate Marketing. I choose to do a lot of social media marketing with my existing clients and facebook is pretty much a requirement for most of them
