2 Years Later - 1 Website More than a Dime
I posted yesterday about poor 'Dave' who said 99% of WA members do not make a dime. I know there are a lot of people that join as a starter, never add their picture or profile, do not do the course 1 and forget about WA within the 7 days of free communication, never to come back... These people are probably the ones not making a dime.
I know people that come here and follow the training should be able to make money at this Internet Marketing Thing.
I had built websites before learning about Wealthy Affiliate, so I had a little bit of experience. To be sure this system works and could work for a newbie, I followed the get started courses and initial training lessons to build a website.
I became a premium member at Wealthy Affiliate at the end of 2012.

I knew someone that was working with a new client that needed Internet Traffic , so I used their product's benefits as my niche. I did the keyword research and found a decent search term at the time and registered a domain for the search term I was going to target. I wrote some reviews of similar products and got the site on page 1 for the desired search term.
I sold an ad support package that placed a blog review of their product and links to their youtube video. This ad package paid more than my wealthy affiliate membership.
I watched the site to make sure it stayed on page 1 for the term of the ad package. It generated traffic to the site. I am not sure how many sales they got.. but I helped expose their brand.
Mission accomplished
I proved WA training works. The company that bought that ad package has gone through quite a bit of restructuring and did not renew the ad package in the middle of the year 2013. I for the most part abandoned the site as far as posting. I added Google Adsense to the site. It has continued to generate a little money getting search traffic every day. My last review post on the site was January 2, 2013.. YES 2013. The site is still being hosted here at WA. my cost for the website is $10/year for the domain.
I have not posted on the site for nearly 2 years.. and the site is still generating revenue.
Hey 'Dave' - Here is more than a dime a day from something other than WA promotions for a site I built 2 years ago using the training provided by Wealthy Affiliate.
There are a lot of ways to make money with Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing. How would you like to have 10 sites like this one that I built 2 years ago?

You go, Bo! I am really put off but the naysayers (though they are few and far between). When I come across someone who is like this Dave person, or someone who is always asking for "how-to" information or reviews of their sites but they never return the favor ... I unfollow.
The point is there will always be people around who we shouldn't be around. In the end, I just have to click one little icon to make my life better. It's that green icon that says "unfollow".
People like Dave allow their own ego to interfere with their success and they make excuses for their failures. Anybody here at WA who has completed even one round of training will be able to see through the naysayers and I hope they unfollow the negatives!

Nice going. Agree 100%.
I've got a few old adsense sites like that that tick over and provide a couple of bucks a day without me doing anything much. Although I do add a post every couple of weeks. Just a matter of adding good content and being patient.
If someone could do ten sites now and was patient enough to wait a couple of years then they'd reap the benefits for sure.
2 Bucks a Day is Very Nice - one of those alone more than pays for WA. 10 of those $2/day websites really start changing things for a lot of people.
That's what they call 'multiple streams of income' and 'passive income'. Congratulations on reaping the rewards of your learning and putting what you learned into action. Without the action and perseverance one has nothing - not even a dime a day. ~Marion

That is tremendous. Almost two years of coasting. That is what I would call true residual income.
