I am using All-In-One SEO.

You don't need to enter these. The AIO SEO tool will automatically pull your titles from your post titles and your description from the first block of text in your post. That is what you want.

Keywords are pulled from "tags", but meta keywords don't do much anyways.

I do fill them in all, also the keywords
Image 1, how to activate
Image 2, you'll find under your post
Image 3, activate keyword box

In a recent video done by Jay (magistudios) he does SEO title and description but not keywords.

I typically watch them every week but it must have been the one I just missed. Darn it! lol. Thanks

So I started a website in 2015 that I dropped and gave up on to move onto a niche I like more and know more about. To this day I am still getting feedback for it which is usele

Great question... one I have taken to Kyle / Carson. I was told they currently do not have means of removing our site from the Feedback platform. Hang in there. I am sure there are enough of us with this issue and they will come up with a fix soon.

Oh, darn... Well, now I know. Thanks!

I'm not really one to chase after WA rank (too much work, too little reward!) but I do notice when my rank goes up and down. When I do actually get around to writing a blog pos

I was surprised myself again today, did a blog the day before yesterday, I believe it was, and only commented on some questions and posts......

Twice I've posted that he who has the gold makes the rules in WA referring to the ranking algorithm. I'm now in the final round of that little exercise!

I don't think there's been a change, I haven't seen anything plus they're all in Vegas this week. Why sometimes your rank doesn't go up when you've blogged could be the people around your rank is doing more than you, or your blog didn't get even reach / engagement, or sometimes the rank is just delayed - sometimes it takes a couple days to catch up.

Hope this helps,
Grace

That's true, could just be that everyone is posting more than me recently. I don't actually post that much, although I try it keep it pretty steady. :)

Since the release of SSL on WA I noticed that one of the new Site + Site Protect features is anti-spam. I have also noticed that Akismet no long comes installed by default on n

No, Akismet or any kind of anti-spam plugin is needed for websites hosted here at WA. This has nothing to do with SSL.

This has been in effect for the past few months now. Carson blogged about it at the below link.

Wow, that happened a lot longer ago than I thought! lol

You no longer need any spam plugins if you are hosting here

ok, thanks!

Kyle began recommending WP-SpamShield instead of Akismet.

Yeah, I finally found his blog post about it. And then he updated it and said not to bother with plugins anymore since the WA SiteRubix platform takes care of it:

Here is the blog about this of Carson

Social Engagement & Marketing

We are told in training (and even by third-party SEO tip sites, etc) to post our content on Google+ because it's one of the more valuable social signals we can send to Google t

Hello Boothe,
As with all social media, Google+ has those optionsame to Like, Comment and Share the posts on your feed. It is not advisable to only post your posts and not share, like or comment on a variety of posts. Consider this, You have a television. It's called your 'Social Media Profile'.
If the only information is only coming from you and you don't have any Comercial breaks or advertisements to advertise, you will not have much support. Just like your social media channels won't get good rankings if you're not "social ".
By social I mean sharing. Once you share another's content , your profile gets acknowledged by the persons info you shared. They are usually polite and drop by to say "Thanks".
Likewise, if you are only sharing your content. Who is going will see it? You have to get your content in front of your viewers. You do this by Sharing theirs. Share the content of similar people like yourself, the ones that comment on their posts and respond to the comments of others.

By doing this, you can also get ranked by Goigle+ for actually participating in the platform.
Hope this helps you as it has helped me. Wishing you all the best!

Linda

Thanks, there is some of that stuff I didn't really thinking about. I mean, I knew it was a good idea to share other content besides your own, but I didn't think much about sharing. Thanks!

However, I was also asking about it specifically as a ranking factor. Do you know how this affects ranking or if it does at all?

I believe that active participation in the Google+ platform and ranking, just like here, on WA. Your rankings will depend on how much you participate, answering questions, etc., and whether or not your information also, content has a particular value to others, in order for them, (other users), to take interest in the content shared. Sharing and participation should help increase your rankings. I suppose...
