I forget her name but this WA member used her phone to make her website and had I think about 4 sites.
You can actually get an adapter from your phone to your tv with an hdmi cable and also I think a google chrome wireless may work also so you will have a screen as big as your tv!
You may be able to add a larger keyboard to your phone if you can use google chrome.
The smart phones are a lot easier to use then a laptop maybe because I use my phone a lot.

I would love to see the websites this person made and talk to her about how she went about the creation process. If you remember the name of this member, please let me know.

Aaaaaaa oooo thats a good one i don't think she is a wa member anymore i haven't seen her posts for a long time but i know she was traveling in her car a lot i think with her dog. She had about 4 websites going and making a little money.
I will check some of my files and see if i can find her name😊

Thanks.

Hi Rob! When I started with WA, I only have iPhone and iPad.
I struggled in the deeper portion of the training!

It becomes very complicated!

Thus I got myself a MacBook PRO!

What a huge difference!!!

It just makes sense to have a larger screen, especially when having to do intricate tasks to set up a website business,

Enjoy the snow...if you get any.

definitely possible, but this would be difficult I can imagine with the number of hours your would be spending on your phone. A hybrid work medium may be ok, but I would think only having a phone to use WA would potentially be difficult to build your business

I know for me, staring at a phone for hours on end learning the training and building the website, would make my eyes go crossed and give me a headache.

It is theoretically possible, but in practice it is a waste of time, unfortunately.

Agreed.

Agreed as well.

Rudy

I was able to do it, but it’s confining and I had to work slowly. To answer your question it is possible but it’s easier and less problematic on a pc or tablet.

Thank you. That is the answer I have been leaning towards. Too much to do in such a small space.

Not got a clue sounds very techie.

Can I build a WordPress website using my Apple Watch.

Or… should I just go to my local library, and use their computer.

(Sarcasm)

Good One. LOL

Yeah.

I had an open domain and tried it out.

Since WA does the work of installing WordPress for us, all I had to do was select the domain, write up a title and select a theme and voila! A website was created.

On my phone, I could see the same setup we see on the website manager, afterthr website opens.

Now, how much work I can do from my phone is another thibg altogether, and as Phil mentioned, those born with the phone in their hands are probably the ones to ask..

I preder my 24 inch monitor, too, Phil...😎

Rudy

Thanks Rudy. I am tending to lean on the side of, it's easier with a computer and not a phone. I find my laptop screen to be much easier to work on than my smaller iPhone.

Yeah, me too. I just did it as an experiment to see what would happen with setting up a website via a cell phone.

Rudy

It is possible but very challenging especially if you are using images .
But totally possible as everything is there at your fingertips

I must be old fashioned. Give me a bigger screen to do design, so I don't miss any details. Phones are too small and I too was wondering how it must be working with images.

It is certainly challenging but it is possible

Hey Rob,

Used the Niche Research Tool myself twice, and I do believe it must be a work in progress. See results in the screen prints below...

Some niche ideas are good... others... well, kinda' depends on the topic we search for a niche on.

Hope you find this helpful.

Good to know. I came across another possible minor glitch, but again, it's understandable depending on the niche.

I think you should reach out to the co-founders, Kyle and Carson; thank you.

I am writing a review on my website about one of those "high ticket" MLMs by a very rich marketer that used to funnel people from one of his websites into MOBE. As you know MOB

I usually go with my instincts.
If it doesn`t feel right then I don`t bother.
If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

I agree.

It's good to hear you try them out before you label them as a scam. Many people purchase a program, work hard at it for a couple of weeks & when they don't see results, they label it as a scam.

Ii always read over the Disclosure and Refund Policy. If they say there's no refund policy, I don't even consider buying it. I get the impression that they don't stand behind their product so how really good is it.

I feel one must try a program to know for sure if it is a scam. If someone tries it and makes no money after several months does not make it a scam. Perhaps they didn’t try hard enough.

But when there is no refund policy and or an income disclosure and there is a lot of hype of living the good life, there is a good chance that it is a scam.

All ways check the small print.

Yes. I fully agree.

The small print between the lines should always be read before making any decision. This a great discussion, as it is up to individuals to read and research every possible outcome. Alas, that is not the case, and our human nature, to be curious, without caution more than often comes to play and we join any shiny object, based on its appearance rather than its facts. In many ways, it's almost like marriage and divorce 😋

Blinded by the light of possible fortunes and a way to solve ones money problems always seems to brainwash the individual out of their common sense. I guess blinded by looks and even sex in some cases can be problematic with marriage and divorce too. My best friend had one of the shortest marriages because of this exact problem, despite what we all warned him about. lol

Research research research better read all the Income Disclosure and Refund Policy, before you buy any upsales because you may just be out of your money. If I am not happy with the first product or platform, I will not buy an upsale to make it work, I request a refund, because if it doesn't work, why would you want to buy anything else from them. All I can say is be careful and do your research. Thanks Sruffey.

I totally agree. Unfortunately some people are blinded by the hype that they can make big money from this wealthy marketer that is going to show them what he did to become rich.

These people need to take a step back and do their research. Question everything! Ask to hear from other members who have succeeded. Learn the real process of how they will make money.

Boomer research will save you money and time on a lot of things. Always do your research before buying anything online, especially online. Don't be anyone's fool, when researching a product or platform, will keep you from making a mistake. Please like my comments, thanks Sruffey.

For me, it boils down to the following:

1) If no disclaimer was made, and they promote how much money you can make, then yes, it's a scam.

2) If they use a bunch of stock images and fake or paid-for reviews, yes it's a scam.

3) If the disclaimer is is some obscure place and/or so small you need to zoom in to read it, yes it's a scam.

4) If it's a make money in a very short period of time or with little to no effort then I'd lean toward scam.

5) If the disclaimer is realistic, if they say that you need to actually work to get the results and so on...then no, it's not a scam.

Good view points. And in my opinion if a skeptical person joins despite points 1 to 4, the onus is on them for not doing enough research.

Agreed

Research research research, upsales always have their risk. Because they put in legal writing in the Income Disclosure and Refund Policy. To get your money knowing that their upsales products have no potential of earning the buyer any money. So they offer you another upsales claiming this one will work, thanking a sucker is going to be a sucker again. People fall the hype and the shiny objects syndrome. I just don't believe in the shiny objects syndrome just believe in what women tell me, that is the only scam I fall for, thanks Sruffey.

Technically I guess the person who joins and doesn’t read the small print and keeps spending but makes nothing is to fault, and believe you me I have been there so I know. What did I learn from this experience? To research really well before going in to any offer or method being presented. I don’t even look at them if they pretend to make me large sums in a small time as this rarely happens. Secondly to really consider an upsell before doing it - what ROI am I going to get; what ROI have I got so far, and Am I just throwing money after bad, what happens if I don’t do this? I know it is hard because I have been down that route before WA. Now I spend only if I can see a clear return and that it can happen, otherwise the delete key becomes favourite.

I feel that most of us at WA has been down that scam road once or maybe twice before joining here. Though I had learned from my mistakes when thinking of joining the next great opportunity, it wasn't until WA that I learned the hallmarks of a scam.

As I have been telling people in my online opportunity reviews, always read the fine print before committing any money. If you cannot find what you are looking for, which should be easy, question why that opportunity is hiding that answer.

If the opportunity and especially the commission sounds too good to be true, it most of the times is a scam. If you still decide to join after getting all of these Red Flags, then what happens to you will be your own fault.

I have been in a few different MLM companies and from my personal experience some of them I made some money with and others I didn't.

I have had other people join an MLM company I was in and they ended up making a lot more money than I was and they were in my downline.

So in my opinion, if the company states everything you mention above and I decide to join anyway and I don't make any money then it's not the companies fault it is mine because I must be a bad sales rep. Or I just didn't have a product I believed in.

My two cents worth!

I agree. In order for someone to be successful at making money with a particular product, they must be passionate enough about it to effectively promote it. You cannot approach it half way. It must be all the way.

One thing about MLMs is that most, if not all, require the participant to be extremely active in the marketing aspect. It is not the type of business where you can make money by doing nothing.

A person's outcome relies solely on that individual. How much they believe in the product and how much effort they put into promoting it. This is the same in most all self employment businesses.

Exactly! I never allow myself to get involved with all of the hype. I just care if the product is of good quality and if it works as claimed.

Also if it is a product I am willing to put my reputation on the line with and can stand behind.

Plus I am not the kind of person who is good at building a downline. I strictly go after customer based people who could benefit from using the product. Because the only way to truly make money with any MLM is to have people purchasing the products.

It doesn't matter how many people you have in your downline if no one is buying the products.

This is so true. Many do not realize the rejection they will face when trying to sell a product no one is familiar with or even wants.

This is why I like online affiliate marketing better. There is no real feeling of rejection because you are not really selling, just recommending a product or service.

LOL yes, you definitely have to handle rejection well and have a thick skin to do MLM marketing.

I still do MLM marketing as well as affiliate marketing. But I am the kind of person who presents you with the product but if you are not interested that is okay. I don't take it personally! And I am not going to harass anyone about it. I just simply share with them my offer.

I just move on. Next!

That's a good approach. Most newbies to MLM would not be so calm. Personally when I did MLM many years ago I sort of got used to the rejection. But after finding other ways to make money online I didn't think twice on leaving MLM.

Good morning my friend, and happy Easter to you, after analyzing your question within my mind I'm going to have to say yes you can, the reason being, I remember many years ago walking down the street with my friend and a individual came up to us and told us that he had a hot ring worth $2,000 that he wanted to sell for $400, I knew of the reputation of this person going around the neighborhood trying to sell strangers Rings all the time however in front of my friend he took the ring and he cut the window of a storefront and the ring had all these sparkly colors blue and red and it had in the back that it was so many carrots, my friend went for it , however I was trying to convince him it was a scam he bought the ring anyway , he walked away with a smile on his face. Also i eyewitness everyday on Facebook all these so-called Market gurus and many of them are just scamming people the reason I know they're scamming people is because I'm a part of wa and I know what can and cannot be done with marketing, so once again my answer is yes you can know .May you have a beautiful outstanding day

Well said and a happy Easter to you too.

While optimizing one of my websites I realize that the social share plugin I have been using for years is slowing down my page load speed a bit. I am looking to change it to so

Thanks for this, my social share buttons are not working!!

Robert, I'm testing this one:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/fast-social-share-buttons/

So far so good. ~Jude

I've completed my testing. The Fast Social Share Button is fast...BUT...it has limited flexibility.

For example, I could not exclude it from appearing on certain pages. Plus there is no option to float it vertically. FB share is okay, though I had to click the share button again to get the share field to open. The share field did not open for G+....

While it is very fast, the FSSB needs more development work, in my opinion.

-----------

I have since also tested the Social Warfare Plugin that Joy mentioned.

Warfare caused the mobile speed to drop slightly from 96 to 94, but that's a small price because it has the features I want, the vertical bar and the option to exclude it from Pages, and it is fast!

Between Fast Social Share Button and Social Warfare - I prefer Social Warfare. ~Jude

Thank you Jude. That was very helpful. I will look into Social Warfare as well as a couple of others suggested here in this thread.

I use the AddThis share plugin, It has not affected my speed quite happy with it

I use Simple Social Share and it works great

I am using Super Socializer. It works well but I can't really tell if it is slowing me down.

I love social warfare plugin

Thanks. I'll check into it.

Yes, it's good. I tested the Fast Social Share Button and decided to also test Social Warfare. See my post above.

For me, Social Warfare won!

I agree with Jovo that the theme and other plugins can affect performance so there is no one plugin that is right for all. ~Jude

Hi Rob, I use https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-social-media-icons/

I have actually used this plugin on a website I built for a friend of mine.

I've used this too. Many of the client sites I've done use only FB, so I'll use a FB icon with a hyperlink. You can tweak the icon size using the text editor in WP, but you probably already knew that. Peace.

I use it too, but while my site speed is OK, I've no idea how this plugin impacts the speed...

I just put a picture of the social icon and link it.

You realize that will not work because you will not have the link to someone else's social media profile.

Social share buttons are so people can click on them and share your content on their personal social media profiles.

I was doing it for people to go to my groups, not share on.

Yes, I figured that. But the purpose of social share buttons is for people to share your content on social media. This in turn helps you in to ways.

1. It creates a better User Experience and helps to increase your rankings in the search engines.

2. It gives your website more exposure because people can keep sharing it, helping you to reach more people and potential customers.

I do not have on installed yet, but I will now.

Hey Rob,

I opted for a premium theme earlier this year and they include social media icons so I no longer need a plugin.

In fact, I was able to delete soooo many plugins that I have now converted all my sites to their themes. All my sites load VERY quickly :-))

In case you're curious as to whose themes ... Thrive Themes.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Trish,

I am also thinking of converting to Thrive Themes but I don't quite understand how it is structured.

For example, Thrive Themes and Thrive Architect - what's the difference? Is Thrive Architect simply the page builder?
If you have any advice for me, that would be great.

Thanks.

Jude

Thanks but I am not looking to purchase a premium theme, at least not at this time.

Yes Jude, and Thrive Architect probably won't work on WA servers either, as I've heard some members having issues with other "page building" plugins.

Thrive Themes is a WordPress theme.

Here's my post on this... https://useyourpassion.com/why-use-a-quality-wordpress-theme

Hope this helps you.

Thank you ! I will read it.

Hi, Rob. Just curious to what you are using now. I use Sumo and I have a feeling it's slowing my site down.

I did a computer cache clearing not long ago and I have noticed that for the past two days, since August 24th 2017, that the Top 10 Most Popular List on WA has not changed at a

Yes I have noticed it as well. I wonder if Kyle/Carson is aware of this?

I am sure they are and if not, tech support is.

There's been a few issues with the top 10 lately. The wrong pictures have been coming up and nothing new has been added for days.

Yes, Mark and Loes made mention of certain members having their profile images being someone else. Ooops!

Yes I have noticed this also...I think maybe they are fine-tuning the changes (to include rankings) so maybe this is just a symptom...Work in progress perhaps...

I do not get a chance that much to pop through, so I am already missing a lot I am sure...Things are busy these days (a good thing)...

Nice to touch base though, when I am able...You all ROCK!

Cheers!
Dave : )

Yes, it is most likely a symptom of them tweaking the new ranking algorithm.

Nice to know there is a Top 10 List and I don't know anything about it comes about. My only thoughts would be related to rank. Some of us have noted our ranks staying the same. Is there a relationship?

I think it's based on engagement.

Rank is determined by the amount and kind of engagement you have within the community during the course of every day.

Yes, I understand completely. I was referring to the recent static nature.

The static nature of the rankings happen all the time. Ranking will not always change because there are many different factors that are beyond our control which contribute to rankings.

Now if the rankings remain static after a few straight days of activity or inactivity within the community, then yes, the two issues can be related.

Thanks for the reassurance. I believe I am looking at learning more to increase my ability to be more helpful and engaging. And I thought I had learned a lot!

We all will always be learning. I even just learned something new about WA about an hour ago that I didn't know, and I have been here for 4 years.

I'm sorry, I can't speak to this. I do not watch that top 10 or top 50 etc. list.

Peace,
Rene'

They only display the top 10 blogs and training tutorials, there is no top 50 and beyond.

I see it's the same as well, but with so much going on, I imagine they're starting with their priorities first, and everything else will catch up! :)

Yes, I am sure this is the least of the problems they have going on behind the scenes.

Not only that, but the lower right picture is NOT Chris Scott(Teddy Bear)

Wow! You are correct. I didn't notice that.

LOL. That Bama boy will work up a big growl over that !!

Chris has been Huffman too, and yes it's stuck here too

One way to assure someone else's profile picture does not mysteriously appear on their blog or training is to change the post image to something unique like Jovo did in his training tutorial.

Yes, I do that more often too lately, use that little camera:))

Like watermarking a bill or photo. A great tactic!

I do too and mainly because it is the picture that is displayed when sharing the blog or tutorial on social media. Much better at capturing people's attention than my profile image.

Yes Michael, that is a good analogy of what is being done. But like I replied to Loes, I do it for making it more visible when I share it on social media.

Either it is what Mike, below says, OR those really ARE the top ten!

Agreed.

My take Robert is that the WA servers are crunching away at the application of the new algorithm to questions, trainings and postings. If I were the administrator I would probably have to degrade these postings as lower in priority until the operation is more integrated!

Yeah Michael, that was my next thought if it were true that I wasn't the only one seeing this. I am sure not all of the glitches have been worked out of the system after the upgrade.

I haven't notice, but you seems right.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one seeing strange things.
