Sunday’s Entertainment Blog Post #4
Last Update: Jun 8, 2014
Hello my WA Family!
Yes it’s me Robert, aka boomergp08, back with another entertaining WA blog post for this Sunday, June 8th, 2014. I hope you enjoy it!
Practice! Practice! Practice!
When we create our websites we are in a constant state of practice. I know many of you when you first started were a little bit scared about writing content. I know I was long ago when I started writing my content for my eBay listings.
Yes, I write content for my eBay listings. There are too many people on eBay that just list what the item is that they are selling. BORING!!! When I list an item on eBay I always write at least a little content and if it is something like a collectible, I attach a little story behind it. Doing that really helps in completing the sale over that of my competitors.
But my point is that the more you practice at doing something the easier it gets. So don't let the fear of writing content for your websites keep you from trying and trying often. The more you write content the better you will get at it and the more you will be able to perfect it as time goes by.
For example, Danny MacAskill in his entertaining video below (click link above the picture), says that when he sees something new that he wants to do, he will spend the time trying it over and over again until he gets it right. This can be applied to anything in life, even our website creations.

Shall We Play a Game?
Okay now it is time for some interactive fun between you and your computer with another hidden Easter egg. In last week’s blog I introduced you to a few hidden Easter eggs within Google, well this one is hidden inside YouTube. So this is what you need to do.
I hope you remember how to play that classic arcade game called Missile Command, where you have to prevent the missiles from hitting the ground and your gun batteries? You would aim for and shoot in front of the incoming missiles so they run into the explosion and hence get destroyed.
What you need to do is go back to YouTube and start to play any video. After the video starts playing (not during the pre-ad) just type on your computer keyboard 1980. The video will slide down half way off the bottom of the screen. Above the top half will appear some text. Just click on the red text to start the game.
After the countdown the video will begin to play again and you will have to defend it. If too many missiles hit the top half of the video screen the video will become broken and stop playing and you will have lost. NOTE: Sometimes you will have to do this on a new video because it’s hard to initiate this on a video that you have already played and/or lost a Missile Command game to.

Some More Google Easter Eggs
REMEMBER – To click the “I’m Feeling Lucky” link on the right of the Google Instant drop down or the link on the main Google Home Page to get these to work.
Type in, google 1998
This will show you what the Google Home Page looked like in 1998, the year Google started.
Type in, google sphere
This will create a spinning sphere of the different screen icons around the Google logo. You can manipulate the movement and speed of the spinning depending on how far away from the center of the screen you move your mouse pointer. You can also bring in other icons by doing a search in the search bar.

Me too Joe! That was definitely my favorite of the 3, which is why I listed it last. You know the saying, saving the best for last.
Sam Sung. LMAO!!!
Yeah, I was trying to figure out what exactly that was that guy was holding. I'm still not sure.
lol look forward to these posts, really cool stuff utube and seen the video before always good to see a fellow kinsman, also love the google stuff now I need to get back to work be sometime before I reach your standard
As you know I'm a big Danny MacAskill fan and his talents are living proof that you can do amazing things if you just have the determination to try and then continue to practice it everyday to make yourself better within it.
I see that as the same thing we all need to have when it comes to our website creation. We have to have no fear and have the determination to try and continue to practice what we do until we are good at it.
I actually thought of you when I posted this blog. I said, I bet Cathy will enjoy seeing and hearing her countryman Danny talking to the camera instead of just performing. :-)
Really love the I Phone 20...I think it will be a hit with seniors with bad eyesight. I'm on my way now to buy a bicycle so I can try some of Danny MacAskill's stunts. I'm hoping to improve my focus with blogging. Now, since I am overweight senior with compromised vision due the the inordinate amount of time I have spent on the internet do you have any additional recommendations for me?
Getting a bicycle is a great idea Rebecca...though I wouldn't recommend doing what Danny does. LOL But a bicycle is a great form of exercise and exercise can fix a whole lot of problems. Even a 20-30 minute leisurely walk 3-5 times a week will do wonders.
Glad you liked it Tommy. I'm trying to incorporate some knowledge in with these entertaining blog posts to send a message in a more fun way.
That was very well said Bud! The more you practice anything to better you will become at it.
OMG, I think my heart stopped a couple of times watching Danny! Got a good chuckle from the pics. Thanks!
You are welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it Iris. Danny is amazing! He got that way from years and years of practice. I enjoy sharing some humor and entertainment along with an inspiring message to my WA family every Sunday. Today's message is "Practice" :-)
Thanks again for another great Sunday post! That video made my heart pound!! Very inspiring for me. I am very new to writing content and so far has been the hardest part for me.
Even on Sunday you teach me! Thank You!!
Have a great day!
Practice Steve. The more and more you do something the easier it will get. I was the same way many years ago and now writing content is not that much of a problem for me. Just like the stunts Danny MacAskill does, he practices everyday until he gets it right. The same should hold true for anything you do, including content writing.
Thanks for sharing Robert, that Danny kid stressed me out. If I was his mom I wouldn't be able to watch him do his thang! He is so talented and brave.
I asked him about that when I met him and he said at first his parents couldn't even watch him perform but now they are just as amazed as everyone else. But he practices everyday and has broken several bones along the way too. Every time I see him perform I am just blown away by how easy he makes it seem.

Oh, this made me laugh. Sam Sung probably didn't have a job at Apple for long ;)
Happy to have made you laugh Kary. :-) The Apple store probably put him in the back fixing the iPones or made him clean up and take out the trash. lol
