I am sure there are many of us here at Wealthy Affiliate who would like to go to Las Vegas as part of the WA Las Vegas Super Affiliate Conference. All you have to do is sign up 300 premium referrals within a calendar year OR only 100 premium referrals between September 1st and December 31st.

LAS VEGAS IS MY FAVORITE DESTINATION

Why do I like going to Las Vegas? It certainly is not because of the gambling, I am not much of a gambler and if I were I could just drive 2 and a half hours south of where I live to Atlantic City and gamble at the casinos there. So why have I traveled to Vegas at least 10 times?

Because I love the kind of entertainment that the city and surrounding areas provide. Plus I know people who live there so the fun factor tends to increase. For example, on my next upcoming trip I will be heading to Tenaya Creek Brewery shortly after landing for some craft beer and live entertainment.

I enjoy drinking craft beer and my friends know this. I was introduced to Banger Brewing in North LV a few years ago and now Tenaya Creek will be next. I also enjoy the different kinds of live performances up and down the Las Vegas Strip.

Almost every time I have been to LV I have seen one of the Cirque du Soleil performances currently playing. I am a big fan of the Montreal Quebec Canada based circus-style entertainment group. I have seen Mystere, O, La Nouba, Alegria, Varekai, Dralion, and I plan on seeing Ka when I arrive this time.

I also love the outdoors and hiking is something I enjoy wherever I can find the opportunity. About 90 minutes north of LV in the desert is Valley of Fire State Park. The name is befitting because the rock formations and the ground is a reddish orange color. It is like what I would picture the surface of Mars to look like in color.

But LV and surrounding towns have so much to offer in all kinds of entertainment and wonders, plus the people are friendly, at least they have been to me. The casino hotels are marvels to behold. I’ve stayed at the MGM Grand 3 times, the Excalibur like 5 times because I like the whole King Arthur and Knights of the Roundtable theme, and the Desert Inn which is no longer standing.

The Luxor is a giant pyramid shaped hotel with a powerful bright light that shoots straight up from its top at night. It is so bright that it can be clearly seen from astronauts who orbit the earth. All of the rooms in the pyramid are along the four outer walls and the center is open where there are several buildings containing all sorts of amenities.

Though it is true that New York City is "the city that never sleeps" I would have to say the same could be said about Las Vegas. I have never been there during the summer months and I know from friends that it can get super-hot. I prefer to go during the fall / winter months, and being that it is a desert oasis, it can get cold at night.

WEALTHY AFFILIATE CAN GET YOU THERE

The pictures I have shared are just a drop in the bucket with everything that LV and the surrounding communities have to offer. You can do and experience so much entertainment, fun and good food that you will never get tired of going there because there is so much to see.

Wealthy Affiliate can get you there in two different ways. You can either get 300 premium referrals within a calendar year or 100 premium referrals between September 1st and December 31st to lock in your all-expenses paid spot at the Super Affiliate Conference.

Or the other way, which is the way I am going to LV next, is to take the training, learn it, apply it, and build yourself a successful affiliate marketing website business. It may take you a couple of years of solid work to get there but if you really want it you will get there.

Thanks to the WA training I am making enough money to not only pay for my yearly membership fee every month but I can put enough aside to go back to Las Vegas. Each time I go I get to experience something new in addition to reliving many of my favorite activities.

My LV friends tell me that I need to try the Sun Buggy experience. Seeing how I used to be into amateur racing many years ago, this ought to be a fun adventure. To view a 3 minute intro into Sun Buggy rentals, watch the video at the below link.I hope it plays.

Because of the WA training and my determination to succeed, even after some financial and personal setbacks, I can say I am Going Back to Las Vegas Thanks to Wealthy Affiliate. I started paying more attention to growing my business by utilizing the training and resources here. You can too.

Get serious about taking the WA training and building your website business. Though it is fun hanging out, blogging and interacting within WA, if you do not focus on building your websites first and foremost, you will never get to experience the joys of traveling to a place like Las Vegas.

Thanks for sharing!!! I have learned so much this summer at WA and I know I am going places with this as WA has encouraged me to also get out and explore other meaningful online business ideas that go hand in hand with WA. I have to say it means moving out of my comfort zone, but I think the MAN upstairs is calling me to serve Him at a higher level, and make more of a positive impact in other people's lives than I am currently doing. It's not easy to step out, so if any of you have any words of encouragement, support or prayers, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Rob, I have benefited from some of your trainings, especially the one on keywords and using the WA keyword tool!
Eric:)

You are welcome Eric. Yes, often times God will make us move out of our comfort zones in order to experience things that can benefit us and others that we might have missed if we didn't move.

No, it is not easy to step out for some people but you are a New Yorker. Though I am from across the river in Jersey, we both can do it if we put our minds to it.

Remember what Frank Sinatra sang in New York, New York. "If I can make it there I'll make it anywhere."

Awesome job, Rob, and congrats!

Thanks Jason. I wish it was from the WA affiliate conference that I am going, it would be great to meet you and the guys/gals. But because of the WA training I am getting to LV again on my own accord. Too bad it will not be the same month you all will be there, assuming you will be going.

Congrats. Have a fun trip. Some day i will go too. :)

Just put the time in to build your website business with the awesome training here at WA. Eventually the hard work will pay off and you can save the money to go.

Thank you for the advice. :)

My pleasure.

WOW! Congratulations, Rob, you will be celebrating!!

Thank you Carol. If LV wasn't so fun I wouldn't have gone so many times.

Well done Rob all the best!

Thank you Gina.

You earned it, Robert! Congratulations. I personally love Las Vegas. I lived in North Las Vegas for a few years. I loved the lights and the crazy energy. All the best to you, always.
Sue

That is so awesome Sue. I have often said that if I were to ever move out west it would be to the Las Vegas area, most likely in Henderson.

Nice area removed from the hustle and bustle of The Strip, but still close enough to experience the excitement whenever I want. Similar to what I have now, living within 15 minutes of New York City.

New York is on my bucket list. I love lots of lights and busy places, but have to retreat back into my quiet for the rest of the time.

Well I would suggest that when you do visit New York that you get a hotel in either the northeastern area of New Jersey or in the nearby mountain area of Rockland County NY. This way you will be within a 30 minute drive of the lights and busyness of NYC but can sleep in relative quietness.

Thank you for the advice! Sounds like either area provides the best of both worlds. Thanks, Rob!

You are welcome Sue.

Hi Rob, great post and pictures. It's nice that you have been there so many times, and to keep wanting to visit says a lot.

We can ALL go if we discipline ourselves while keeping our eyes on the destination.

I liken Las Vegas to an adult Disney World because there are so many live shows and performances, outdoor activities, famous restaurants from many of the great well-known chefs, many nearby sites like Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley Desert,...

Then there are all of the little out of the way live music clubs and shopping malls plus the pawn shop store that was made famous by the cable show Pawn Stars. So so much to see and do there.

And everyone at WA can go to Las Vegas, Disney World or any other popular vacation destination. All we have to do is follow the training, build our website businesses, be patient, and eventually we will experience success.

Enjoy your trip to Vegas, Robert - you deserve it! I lived in Vegas for 10 years and got married at Red Rock Canyon by a justice of the peace who was a friend. It's a beautiful setting. My daughter just went to live in Vegas again. Our family moved from there when she was 4 - she's 23 now.
You're a wonderful example to many of us here at WA. I appreciate your willingness to help so many members besides tending to your own websites.Your upbeat personality and inspiring words put a smile on faces here every day. Good luck in all your endeavors!

Thank you Teri for your kind words. Yes, the Red Rock Canyon area is very picturesque. Maybe one day I will move away from the New York area and move west. I have always said that if I were to move west I would not go any further than Nevada.

I was born and raised in NY - 50 miles North of NYC. I'd love to be as close as you are to NYC. Can't beat the hustle & bustle there or the pizza! Thanks for all your efforts here, Robert.

You are welcome Teri. If you were born 50 miles north of NYC, which we call Upstate New York, I am assuming it is somewhere near West Point or in Orange or Putnam counties?

Lol - I was born at West Point and lived in the small town (5,000) right outside it's gates to the ripe old age of 18. The name of that town was Highland Falls, which turned into Fort Montgomery less than 10 minutes down the main drag. Five minutes of that hamlet brought us to the Bear Mountain Circle. You probably heard of Bear Mountain. All of those were in Orange County. You could hop on the Bear Mountain Bridge off the east side of the circle, which took you across the Hudson River into Putnam County. As the small mountain loomed at the end of the bridge, you could turn right for Peekskill, Yorktown Heights, Yonkers and, eventually, the city. Of course, you hit the Anville Circle first after coming off the mountain road and had to veer off that toward your final destinations. I have a slew of cousins in Peekskill (Cortlandt Manor) just from my late mom's sister's family. They had 9 kids and their neck of the woods was my summers' paradise, growing up. By the way, Garrison was left off the bridge. In the 40s & 50s, my grandfather sometimes walked across the Hudson from H.F. to Garrison when the ice was thick enough.I think he and a few others were going to a pub for a hot toddy (more likely, a shot & a beer). My maternal grandparents were 100% Irish.
Thanks for inspiring my walk down Memory Lane. I needed the mental break. Oh, and, upstate NY to me is Catskill Game Farm, Storybook Land, Lake George & Albany.

It all sounds great! thanks for your detailed reply, lots of information :D

I know that area all too well. Bear Mountain and most of Harriman State Park is where I do the bulk of my hiking in this area. And a former co-worker who used to live in the city had his 20 foot speed boat docked up at the Haverstraw Marina.

We used to go speeding up and down the Hudson, as far north as Poughkeepsie and south to the Statue of Liberty. Here's a picture I took while hiking the Appalachian Trail near the top of Bear Mountain.

You are welcome.

Robert, that's a gorgeous pic of the Hudson! Isn't the small mountain at the end of the bridge called Anthony's Nose?
Yeah, as teens, a couple friends and I walked most of the way home to Highland Falls one day from the Bear Mountain pool.
And I recall my stepdad driving a Trailways bus for a time out of the Harriman area, it seemed. On my FB page, I get a Hiking the Hudson Valley pix & post and something. with the Bear Mountain biking trails where they mapped things out and even had a couple
of classes. It's really a beautiful area. Oh, I have cousins in Haverstraw and we used to drive down there from H.F. by way of Bear Mountain ; went down 9W past the area that had moored
anywhere from 30 - 50 old battleships, like a graveyard. Probably from WWII, not sure. I was a kid between 6 and 11 when we did that a time or 2 each summer. I'm sure you know Seven Lakes. And, if you're ever up around Poughkeepsie again, either there or close there's that overlook right on the Hudson River. I think it was an old trestle train that ran across. They raised it from the dead and made this beautiful place for the people. I think it's called Walkway Over the Hudson and you can walk across, it's real popular. You can Google it.
Well, need to get off of here. Nice to find someone who knows that neck of the woods. Great memories. Take care, Robert. Enjoy your trip.

WOW, is that what became of that bridge? I did not know that. Thank you for telling me. I see a road trip in my near future. That is something I want to experience seeing how I have been under that bridge many times on my friend's boat.

If you're talking about the old train trestle or whatever they call it - yeah, it's now called Walkway Over the Hudson. To see pix and read everything about it, just go to walkway.org for all the info and then some; they also have a page on FB. That site is facebook.com/walkwayoverthehudson
You'll probably think of a niche or two If you visit. The first site has lots if info about historic places in the area and things to do. Look at the calendar for times and events. You can reach it from either the East or West side of the Hudson. Enjoy.

Yes, that was the bridge I was referring to.

Sounds like this will be the first time you'll earn your way there courtesy of WA Robert! Do you know that it was originally a miners pioneer town called Sourdough Flats I believe. Then Nevada state introduced gambling to wake up the empty desert!

I may not be going there because of 300 or 100 premium referrals within the necessary time frame but because of what I have learned at WA, I am able to make and save enough to go from my various affiliate earnings.

Yes, I had heard something to that effect of it being a miners town. There are still areas of evidence out in the surrounding desert. There are also lots of ancient Indian carvings in some of the rock formations in Valley of Fire. Really cool stuff!

Do you think Kyle will let you crash the party at your own expense. If so that may be a closely guarded secret. I would go if that were the case!
BTW a bit further north outside Nellis AFB is the Extraterrestrial Highway!

LOL, That would be funny to run into those guys while I am in LV. But unfortunately I will not be there during the same month the WA conference will take place. :(

Hey...that's super wonderful, Robert! Congratulations :)

Thanks James. Hard work and the WA training really does work.

You're living proof...and a million thanks for your guidance and all your patience when helping others.

You are most welcome. I am finally seeing the fruits of my labor in various affiliate marketing programs because of the WA training, so I want others to experience it too. That is why enjoy helping others.

Nice work.
Do most of your referrals come of people dropping by your site via SEO ranking, or do you use adverts such as Facebook ads?

Though I do not do any kind of paid social media ads I would have to say that my referrals for both WA and the 4 other affiliate programs I belong to come from about 45% SEO ranking and 55% social media sharing.
