How to Make Readable Anchor Text of WA Links in Blogs
There was a recent question asked by a WA member about how to insert a link into a WA training tutorial and/or blog. The training tutorial platform, unlike the new blogging platform, does not have a button for inserting links.
The only way to do so in a tutorial is to paste the link you want people to clcik on, into the content of your tutorial. But when doing so, just like in the WA blogs, the raw WA link will get truncated and it doesn't really tell you what it is about.
HOW TO CREATE READABLE LINKS
Below I will give you a quick step-by-step procedure for creating some readable anchor text for the raw my.wealthyaffiliate links. I will even include an example of such a link at the end of this blog.
1. AFTER THE LINK HAS BEEN PASTED, HIT THE ENTER/RETURN KEY TO SET IT
2. HERE IS WHAT THE RAW WA LINK LOOKS LIKE
3. CLICK ON THE LINK
4. THE EDIT AND UNLINK UI WILL APPEAR. CLICK ON EDIT
5. THE EDIT UI WILL APPEAR
6. REPLACE TEXT OF LINK IN THE LOWER TEXT BOX AND CLICK SAVE
7. HERE IS THE END RESULT. LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN RAW LINK.
When you can make the anchor text of your link to be descriptive for what a person will read once they click on it, you will gain a higher CTR, Click Through Rate. It also makes the WA blog post and tutorials look better.
Below is an example from the last page of a popular tutorial of mine. Even the link going to this example I have changed the text to be more descriptive of what you will see.

Super helpful post! ... thanks kindly for sharing & taking the time to blog, all the best, cheerio... :)
You are welcome Elaine. It's like what the Pretty Links plugin does for our website links.
You are welcome Susan. This technique is for creating better SEO content for our WA blogs. Seeing how our WA blogs get indexed and ranked in Google, it makes perfect sense to make all the links more user friendly.
You are welcome Loes. Lately I have been spending time going back though all WA blogs and tutorials and improving the User Experience by making the raw links look prettier. This is like the manual implementation of the Pretty Links plugin.
I bet it would be an extreme hassle to go back through all of your blogs and tutorials to make the changes to any posted links.
I know I am experiencing a lack of motivation to tackle this chore, and I have far less blogs and tutorials than you do.
I had an awful lot of work when the dashboard changed to replace screenshots, I hope I caught them all by now
You are welcome. I hope it helps you to create better SEO content for any WA blogs or tutorials you may write.
Interesting. I thought I was able to do it on my iPad. But I can definitely see it being a problem to do on a tablet or phone.
No right click
Just like the mailing system here
Can not be used on ipad
(Solution is here: https://fleekyone.com/atmail-and-ipad )
I just tried editing a raw link on my iPad as described above. It worked flawlessly. Seeing how you only have to click the link, no need to right click, these link edits can be done on a tablet.
You are welcome Alan. This linking technique helps us to provide a better user experience within or blogs and tutorials for those who read them.
Thank you for this. Hope it stuck in my memory so that I can rember it when I need to use it later.
You are welcome. It's a simple procedure and once you do it a couple of times it will become so easy to remember.
