How To Find Your Website Ranking In Google
Have you ever published new content on your website, then seen it indexed and wanted to know how to find your website ranking in Google for your keyword? I am sure that you probably went to Google and searched your keyword. Then all of a sudden you become excited.
I AM RANKED ON GOOGLE PAGE 1
How do you know what you are seeing is actually true? You might answer that by saying, well Google is showing it to me. Yes but did you know that Google will show you what it thinks you want to see? Unless you search in the correct way your results may be false.
How does Google know what you want to see? By using cookies stored on your computer. These cookies track your search history. Every time you search a particular keyword either on Google or in a keyword research tool, this is saved to your computer search history.
When you do a Google, Bing or Yahoo search, those search engines first look at your cookies and cater your search results to your search history. So it is very important that you know how to correctly search your keywords in the search engines to get an accurate result.
HOW TO GET CORRECT RESULTS
In addition to searching your keywords in the correct way, you also need to be patient and wait about a week to get a more accurate result. The majority of the time your initial Google search results are not accurate and this happens for a few different reasons.
I am not saying that I am an expert but what I have learned from experience and from a friend of mine who works for Google, just searching your keyword in Google is not going to give you correct results. Do not forget that Google is a search engine and shows you what you want.
There are certain things you must first do to expect more correct search results. Doing these simple prior steps before performing your keyword search will greatly increase accurate search engine results. I explain everything in my most recent WA tutorial at the link below.
