Do You Know Who Referred You to WA and How to Find Out?

A few days ago I responded to a question asked by a member on why his WA sponsor was not replying to his questions. I also realized that there are a lot of WA members, newbies and not so new, who may not know how to find out who initially referred them to WA and how these sponsors are aware of their questions.

FINDING YOUR SPONSOR

First off it is very easy to find out who you joined WA under. Just go to your WA profile page and scroll all the way to the bottom. The very first automated welcome message posted on your profile is the one from the WA member you joined under. Then within 30 minutes later you will more than likely see an automated welcome message from Kyle or Carson.

Yes, these are automated messages. They have to be because people will join WA at all times of the day and night and no one is expected to be able to send a welcome in a timely manner. If the very first welcome message posted is from Kyle or Carson, then you were either referred by either one of them OR the WA member who referred you does not have their automated messages set up.

EVERY SINGLE WA MEMBER SHOULD DO THIS

Every single one of you should set up your automated welcome messages because you ALL have the ability to refer a non-WA member, even if you are not actively promoting WA. How is that possible? Well if you create WA blogs, discussions and/or training, non-WA members can still see these on Google and if these people decide to join, you will get the referral credit.

So if you do not set up your automated welcome messages your referral will not get welcomed and could very well not know where to begin. This could also mean lost money going into your pocket. If you do not know how or where to go inside WA to set up these messages, click the link to my training below.

How to Prepare the Welcome to WA Message

HOW DOES YOUR SPONSOR KNOW THAT YOU NEED HELP?

In the above image, do you see that red circle with the number 3 inside of it? This is an indicator that gets displayed on every member's profile page when there are one or more questions or replies posted by WA members that you have referred. As soon as I see that I know that one or more of my referred members requires a response.

In addition to sending a PM to the person who referred you to WA, if you should have a question you can either ask it in one of the classrooms or post it on your profile. Either way your sponsor will get a notification like the one above on his or her profile screen. These notifications will also be triggered when the new member posts their goals.

I hope this blog has helped to bring about more clarity on this issue. Remember, if you have not yet set up you automated welcome messages, check out my training link above and set those up. You do not have to be promoting WA to get a WA referral and it would be ashame if you miss the opportunity to welcome a new member and receive the referral credit.

Awesome, welcome letter done. I often did wonder who signed me up, and now I know.
Thanks!

You are welcome Anne. Happy you got your message set up.

Hi Robert.

Great post, thank you for this helpful info.

My sponsor is Kyle himself. ^^,

Regards,
Kamil

You are welcome Kamil. Kyle is a great sponsor. :-)

Thanks Robert. These details are things I did not know about.

You are welcome. Many WA members do not know about this.

Hi Robert
This is great and timely for me, as I am ready to launch myself back in in and want to work as closely as possible with my referrer. I also didn't realize I would need to set up a welcome message for any people who joined through me. Wouldn't want anyone to fall away due to feeling lost. As usual, your information is helpful and relevant.
Katharina

Thank you Katharina. Many if not most members that do not actively promote WA don't know that they even have these messages that they can use.

This is why I created the training on it at the link above. The last thing I would think WA members who would like to earn money from referrals would do is to not welcome new members who join up under them.

It would seem to be a 'no brainer' but I guess it's all a learning curve till you discover the information or think about how to make sure those you refer don't quit in discouragement before they start getting somewhere and realise the potential of what is here. If anything, there is so much here, and so much to learn, it's the overwhelm bit that is likely to make one feel defeated before one feels the excitement of accomplishing things. That's where connecting with one's referrer could save the day.

Every newbie should be introduced to your training - it would be interesting to see what it would do to the retention rate.

I agree about the overwhelming factor of WA with new members. I believe we were all overwhelmed when we first started. For me I just blocked out every blog and training that wasn't from Kyle. Then once I had a better handle on things I started checking out the content here in WA.

That would be sound advice for newbies too - I wish I had done that as now I have to go back and pick up where I left off - waaaay back !!! However, nothing is ever wasted and now I have a big picture that maybe I wouldn't have had before. Still, I nearly fell away a few times.... thanks to your informative, convincing and helpful information and other selfless members, (as well as members that kept me thinking "just hang in there - it will all come toghether"

Whoops - meant to sort that last sentence out but accidentally bumped it off - well, I think it's obvious what I mean :)

Hi Robert, Great information. Thank you for sharing.
Have a nice day.

You are welcome Peony. Glad you liked my post.

So Rob, when I edit my welcome message, all I'm required to do is put my name and save.

That is pretty much it. You can make your welcome message to say whatever you want or you can just copy what Kyle and others have said.

Thanks for sharing.

You are welcome Kevin.

Thanks Rob, good to know :-)

You are welcome Gaylene

Thanks

You are welcome.

Good advice Robert:) Have a great day!

Thanks Loes. You have a great day too.
