No Expectations

I have no expectations of anything.

That's how I'll live from now on, if I can remember.

Like I assume is the natural tendency with most humans, however, I have a tendency to expect certain results, on the lookout for results whenever I do anything at all, and if result doesn't come soon enough, feel disappointed, at least temporarily.

However, I was reading my 20-Minute Yoga Workouts book and it's recommended that you do the yoga routine consistently yet do NOT expect results or be on lookout for results. Detach from expectations and just do it regularly.

So this is the attitude I will have in terms of business as well. Spend sufficient time on doing what needs to be done on website and promotion and learning the ropes but not going to expect anything. Just let it go and let it flow.

Easy and breezy.

The paradox is that by not expecting anything, there will probably be greater results.

But I'm not going to worry or think much about results but just show up.

Whenever a positive result does occur, though, I'll celebrate.

In usually expect nothing but maybe a sandwich and maybe a drink. Joys of parenthood and being somewhat retired from the service and electrical business.

It's nice you've had a full life and enjoy the simple things.:-)

The point is just to have a goal and show up for work or whatever and not worry about results all the time, kind of like how if one wants to lose weight, one eats less and exercises more but is better off NOT constantly weighing oneself and expecting results immediately all the time but just doing what needs to be done. Similarly, with website endeavor, to just show up and do what's necessary without expecting all the time, just show up.

Sounds like a good attitude Jean.

Yes, thank you.:-)

That is a healthy approach to take. ;-)

Glad you see it that way too. Agree.:-)

Healthy approach...detach from the outcome. It can work to your benefit...for example...expecting 2 referrals a week might limit you...maybe The Universe wants you to have 3. ( The Universe and some hard work!). All the best, Debbie

Yes, just carry on with what needs to be done, i.e. show up consistently and put in sufficient time, have a plan but have no expectation. No constantly looking over shoulder for result. Thanks, Debbie.:-)

Removes the idea of instant gratification

I think it makes things more efficient as well.

Easy way to flow jeannie

Yes. Thank you, Mikee. lol

Yeah , I love that approach. Its not always easy to achieve in our kinda world. Lovely reminder, beautifully expressed. Thanks Jean.

Easier to achieve if one just does it without expecting anything out of it, though. No letdowns, easier to keep going and going until one finds a lot of success.
