Start Where You Are. Use What You Have. Do What You Can.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
It's a quote by Arthur Ashe. I have no idea about tennis, but the simplicity of these three short sentences and their practicality in every part of life is obvious.
However, most people don't start where they are, don't use what they have, and don't do anything or do much less than what they can. So, let's break this quote into three parts and start with the first one.
Start Where You Are
We are in a specific place and time. We live in the present moment, and there are some facts on our lives, whether we like them or not. But let's keep it simple. My focus will be on business because I want to show you how to use this quote to move forward.
We are in a specific position in life right now. If you don't have enough money or your site does not get traffic yet, this is where you are. And you can start building from that position. Some people are not at the beginning, so they have to start today from a different position.
In every case, you cannot start from another place than the one you are. When I created my first website, it took a while to get my first visitors. Then, I focused on sales and built more traffic.
You can't go from zero to 1000 visitors per day or from zero dollars to $100 a day because you are not there yet. There are steps between these numbers that you must reach first.
It does not matter where you want to go or where you would like to be. You can only move forward from the position you are right now. I believe it is powerful to know that you can move forward.

Use What You Have
The good news is we have more resources than what they realize. We must use the things we have.
Most people have time. If you don't work all day on your job, use your free time to build your business. Having fun and spending time on things we like is fine, but avoid wasting time in unimportant things can create time for the things that matter.
Next, we have some tools on this platform. You probably know what these tools are and what you can do with them, but here is a reminder.
As a premium member of WA, you have access to ten websites. Free members have two available websites with a subdomain. In both cases, you can start what you have and use it. Usually, one website is enough to begin.
Yes, you can make money even with a free website if you target low competition keywords. The first free lessons include a lesson on keyword research. Use it to find keywords. Of course, building your own website is more effective and a good investment.
You have access to training about a business model that works. The writing tool and the keyword tool will allow you to apply what you have learned in training. There is a community that you can use to ask questions and get guidance for your business.
If you put them all together, you can see that you have many more things than a person without access to WA. As you go through the training, you will learn to use even more things.
Do What You Can
You don't have to do something extraordinary, but just what you can. When you do your best every day, you will be productive and happy.
People tend to believe that what they do is not enough. So, they don't take enough action or feel stressed when they work. But this is not the truth. Doubts, worries, and hesitation can really hold you back. You can get rid of these fear-based feelings by taking action right away and deciding to do your best.
In every business, there are people who decided to take action and achieved their goals one step at a time. Do what you can each time is what it takes to get results.
If you find it too hard to take action when you don't see results yet, don't focus on the results. You can decide to write a great article to help people in your niche or set a productivity goal about the words and articles you want to write. Anything goal that works for you is good.
You don't have to discover the right place because you are there. Everything you need is available to you. Take action and do what you can is all it takes.
