Update 2:45 pm
Welll, I am finished with my preparations and now it’s time to sit and wait to see what Florence is actually going to do here in South Carolina. The blue dot is where I am at the moment we have about 20 mph winds so far. The eye is currently projected to pass over me approximately 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, September 15th. Am I worried, not really. The rain will be the worst of it for me...and I don’t live in a flood zone so I will spend my time here on WA while I wait.
Tomorrow will bring heavier rains and it’ll be windy, maybe about 40 mph winds due to the possibility of it weakening because it is now on land. After it passes over me and my family it’ll head west for a bit and turn north and supposedly follow the Appalachian mountain chain on up. It’ll be considerably weaker by then, but will have the potential to drop lots of rain.
I am more concerned for the people on the coast right now because of the storm surge...so keep them in your prayers along with those in the Pacific about to be hit by their own typhoon.

Hey Bob,
Thanks for the update!!! For those of us who don't live anywhere near there, all we get are the reports from the news. Not sure how accurate they are sometimes. Nice to hear from someone who I can rely on!!

We have...it’s now barely hanging on as a tropical storm...and just now passing just to the north of my home. It’s a super slow moving storm and dumping rain more than anything now. I’ve had thunderstorms worse than this pass through...LOL!!
glad you made it through!...wishing you well
