Ok, today was a good day. I spent a little time here in the community this morning while I waited for my wife and daughter to wake up. I took a vacation day from my hourly job to do it.

I took the day off from my website also. It was rejuvinating and answered the one question that many of us here that also work full time. How do I spend time with my family? And still get this business going to be able to do this on a full time basis.

My Website...

First of all, it is frustrating me and I am still trying to make my brand work for me. I do have a new domain name that I will change everything over to when I am able to.

I am frustrated that I am having a difficult time writing content and to come up with stuff to put on my landing page.

Have no fear...take a break today to get the cobwebs cleared in my head.

What We Did Today

We spent the day at Hi-Wire, an indoor trampoline adventure park. Yeah, a 54-year old man and a 9-year old can jump together. By the way, that's me and my daughter in the picture above...and you can bet I'll feel it in the morning...

After that all three of us went to Cracker Barrel to eat an early dinner and then spent the rest of the afternoon at the zoo. Riverbank Zoo and Gardens is a great place for us. Its about an hour away from our home and it was very stress relieving and was a good way to clear my head.

My Takeaway on today...

Do we all need to do this once in a while. Of course we do. We get caught up in our day to day and trying to build our websites to make our businesses a success. We sometimes put unreachable goals on ourselves and fall short. Then, get very frustrated with what we are not getting accomplished.

Why? Because we work at a pace only we are not always able to. I know there is the thought out there that if you want it bad enough, then it is all worth it. There is truth in that, but we also have to be reasonable as to what we are truly capable of..

Don't push ourselves so far that we wear ourselves out. Don't push ourselves so much that we start getting writer's block. Don't push ourselves to the point that we just want to give up out of frustration.

I've seen a few here post about their frustrations, their mistakes, and their websites not working for them. It can be anything that we find ourselves anxious about. Whatever you do...don't give up on your dreams.

It's OK to take a little break once in a while. Your website will still be there after a day or two. It isn't going to change...because no one else is doing anything to it. Only you are able to do the job on YOUR website.

You are the one that needs to have a clear head when you come back to it. And guess what...you'll feel better for taking the break and will then get more accomplished.

So, if you have a family and you are doing this for them. You are doing this because you are like me and keep thinking "how do I spend time with my family?" Stop asking and just take that break and do it.

You will have a clear sense of direction and will feel better for it in the long run.

Do it enough to give yourself a taste of what life will be like when you finally accomplish your goals and will spend time with them more permanently.

Oh, if you liked this smoosh the "LIKE" and comment with your goals and head clearing methods. Thanks for reading.

I wish you all the best,

Bob M

Family has to come first no matter what Bob.

Derek

I agree wholeheartedly and if it wasn’t for family...I don’t know what other reason I would be here.

I wish you well, Derek

Well said, Bob!

Thank you...have a great day and I appreciate your comment.

Whenever I am about to pull my hair out, I take my Grandson for a mini walk to look at plants. Just holding him while talking and walking does wonder for my sanity! Wonderful advice!

I can relate as spending time with my daughter is the same for me. It’s good that you have an escape or some way to clear your head.

Bob M

Good advice. We all need a break now and then.

Thanks for stopping by.

I agree with you Bob. Sometimes we just need to step back and take a break. Clear our minds.

Thanks for reading Mick. It’s interesting that I didn’t really realize this until after the day was over yesterday.

Take care.

Thanks for sharing, Bob.

Thanks for taking the time to read it. I wish you well.

No problem.

Howdy Bob!

Family should be our #1 reason for doing anything. It's easy to get caught up in the idea that what we do is for our family. And, while that is an great reason, if we don't take time out to give ourselves to our family, the rest doesn't matter.

Great Post and great to meet another "family man!"

To success,

Joey

Thanks Joey. I agee and yes, it is my real reason for being here. My hourly job definitely keeps me away by making me be there 8 hours a day.

So, when I am home, I try to spend time with them as much as I can. I also take time off occasionally. Which is what I did yesterday.

I wish you the best!

Hi Bob,
Thanks for sharing your special time with your family.

Sometimes it is just a good idea to have a break and recharge the batteries.

Keep on doing it.

Regards
Darren

I try...make sure you do the same...whichever way you do so.

I wish you the best!

Thanks.

👍😀

Hi BoB
Very good🦋🦋🦋

Thanks for reading Amir. I wish you well.

Hi Bob, my head clearing methods are to drive around town or into LA for a few hours for Uber, take the dog for a walk, trim the bushes and flowers and eat some chocolate! lol

My goals are to achieve a sustainable income from this effort...I started in April so still new and quite challenging but it's what I really want do and so far so good. Love the learning and the networking is amazing.

All the best to you.

Thanks for reading. I thought about driving for Uber. That would be a great way to do this. I bet you meet some interesting people when you do some of those trips.

I share the same goals but with the added benefit of being with my wife and daughter on more of a full time basis.
