6 months at WA

So, its been 6 months here at WA...

Where was I six months ago, where am I now, and where do I want to be six months from now?

Is that a valid question to be asking...I think so. Why?

Because to be successful in business, I need to know these things.

Where was I six months ago?

I was a newbie and had no earthly idea as to what I wanted to do to make money online. I think I found WA by accident, but clearly was wanting to find something better than what I am doing now. I was just learning what this online thing was, to build a website, and I had NO CLUE!!

It was like I can see puzzle pieces alll scattered on the table in front of me and searching for the first corner piece. Only to find three, and unable to find the missing one...search around and find it on the floor. Then ask myself, why do I bother to attempt this...I'm killing myself with mistakes.

Well, we all make mistakes and mine are no different than the ones the successful members that came before me made. I just had to realize that I have to move on and learn from them and don't make them again.

I have recently had doubts as to my niche selection...MMO...and was questioning myself whether it was a wise choice or not. I have come to realize, it doesn't matter what others say as to my choice to Affiliate Bootcamp or OEC here at WA. The choice is mine to make, its my business.

I respect their opinions and there are some very valid points. Yes, the competition is higher in the MMO field. But, if I am willing to be patient and put in the work with consistency then I should be ok. Even if I am not making anything with it yet. That's ok. I can wait and will be patient with it.

Where am I now?

I feel I am at a good place for my website. I am happy with my "slow by design" progress that I am making. I am not hurrying to finish fast...although my site is not getting a lot of traffic as a result, but I'm seeing it going in the direction I want it to go.

I currently have two reviews in draft form and three other posts with good content, as far as the topic I want to cover. I still have a little research to complete to ensure that the keywords will be indexed better than my other posts.

My time with my family is important to me...as I love my wife and daughter dearly and they are more important to me than anything else. My faith in Christ is also important to me as I need to ensure I spend time in His word everyday. All this explains why I am "slow by design".

Where do I want to be six months from now?

This one is the toughest one. I didn't really know when I started writing this blog...funny - I just started writing...and figured it out as I typed...LOL!

Well, here it is...

FIRST! I am obviously going to be right here at WA - but more involved than I am now.

I want to see myself in the top 200...I am close to that now. Why, because I truly enjoy helping and spending time here in the community. I get energized by being here.

I am an extrovert in face to face situations and online in the cyber world also...lol...a Cyber-extrovert! I enjoy helping people and that was one of the biggest reasons I started the MMO site instead of a niche.

I am going to work to see my traffic double. Because I am getting some, just not enough to convert.

I will finish the Affiliate Bootcamp Training through to Phase 7.

I am going to have the ever so important discussion with my wife about WA. My purpose is get her involvement. It would be great to see her contribute more to the creation of her website. I see its completion for the information and business side, then at least 4 blogs on the content side. This is not including the "About Me", privacy policy, and Affiliate Disclosure...I'll do those pages.

My reasoning, we will work together for the end result so she will feel more of a sense of accomplishment. Not to mention it will take a little bit of the pressure off me to do it all. She keeps telling me she wants to contribute more to getting the bills paid. At the moment she isn't referring to the website, but offline contributions...lol.

So, there you have it...

My 6 months in review and my future goals (sort of). I actually have my more detailed goals written on a notepad in front of my laptop. Those will be discussed at a later time in another post.

That is where I am...I am not embarrassed about my progress...as I see it - one day I'll have referrals and they will need to see my slow progress. And know that it is ok to work slowly and it is ok to have a few struggles. But, I also want to be an example of persistence and not to give up on our dreams and give them inspiration.

It also serves the purpose for any current newbies here now that are reading this and don't have a clue as to where they are or where they want to go...

I wish you all the best!

Bob

Bob, thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like you have a good idea of where you're going here at WA. I too started with a niche and switched over to Bootcamp training as I feel drawn to getting this information out to as many people as I can. I've been here 6 months and you're much further along than I am. I think slow and steady will WIN this race.

Good luck and keep on pushing forward!

Cal

I’m surprised that you can even say that I am further along than you. I am often amazed at how much others are ahead of me, but again...I don’t let that bother me at all. I am enjoying the training at my pace and making sure I am not missing anything in the process.

Bob

Exactly, my dad used to say, "haste makes waste". Something to live by here at WA. We need to cross our T's and dot our i's along the way. Don't want to miss anything. It could be costly.

AGREED! 🤣

Howdy...cool post. What's MMO please?

MMO is Make Money Online. It’s my niche...which really means I am promoting WA.

Hope this helps!

Sounds good to me! That's the reason I'm here to MMO

Good for you then! I wish you the best!

Bob

That is really a good progression. All the best in the new year.
Debbie

Thank you for reading. All the best to you too!

Bob

Congratulations, Bob a milestone worth celebrating.
Best wishes as you move forward.
Alex.

Hopefully one of many here! Thanks Alex!

Bob

Congrats :) step by step is the best way! Good luck!

Thanks- and I don’t want luck to be what determines my success here. Not unless I am making my own luck...lol

I wish you the best!
Bob

Thanks!

My pleasure...😃

Day by day, step by step, and you will get to your goal in the end.
Best of luck!

That’s right- step by step is definitely the way to go. Especially as the training takes place in the same manner...

Bob

Hi Robert,
Great post! Way to go! You deserve success! I relate to several things you mentioned! Especially regarding WA, I too found it by accident, I am also amazed with the progress I have made, rather slowly, and I will stay here forever, fine tuning as I go along!
Michael Inman

Thank you Michael...yes I am moving slowly and I don’t mind at all either. It gives me the opportunity to spend my time with the two girls in my life— my wife and daughter.

I do get a little anxious to see faster success but then remember the slow by design is the way I want it to happen.

I wish you the best!
Bob

Congrats Robert. I got my 6 month service badge yesterday. Let's kick some MMO butt this year!

Mark

You betcha!!

Congratulations Robert! You’ve come a long way. Keep up the great work

Thanks Melissa...and I still have a long way to go.

Happy 6-months anniversary Robert!

Congrats!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks Zed, I look forward to more of a future.

Godspeed!
