Moving On
It is often said a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. Well here my first step. I have not written blogs or much of anything else except work related forms and accident/incident investigations.
I am hoping to get an education out of all this. For me retirement is coming all too soon. And unfortunately I have seen retirees who think they have hit the end of the road, quit moving around, lock their brains in neutral, and give up. Soon I have another funeral to attend. I have better things to do than stagnate. Also I've gotten used to a certain income level. Being forced to live on less than half of what I have been making is not an option at the present. As I got older, the aches and pains of field work were the impetus for me to move to the safety field. Now I need to take another step forword and find something- becouse I feel a man has to do something- else to do. So I am going to bend this "barnacled old brain" in yet another direction. Wish me luck!
