Where do I start?
How do I move my website currently hosted at siteground to wa?
Where do I start?
The steps are as follows - do not do this out of sequence as it could cause issues.
1) Stop updating your site. Uninstall Askimet and Jetpack plug-ins, if installed, they are not compatible with WA hosting.
2) Make a full back-up using the plug-in of your choice.
3) Update the DNS at your domain registrar to the WA nameservers - ns1.mywahosting.com and ns2.mywahosting.com
3) Use the SiteBuilder to build a 'shell' site on your domain name.
4) Restore your backup to your new site - it will copy over all the ccntent, theme, plug-ins, etc.
5) Turn on SSL in ghd Details section of SiteMsnsger.
The plug-in I am most familiar with is outdated at this point (haven't needed one in the last two years). If you go to Wordpress.org and search for back-up on the plug-ins page, you're presented with a lot of options - just make sure they are compatible with Wordpress 4.9.8 (the current version).
