If you are considering using Medium.com to build backlinks, STOP!

Hosted Blog Platforms like Medium, Quora, Linkedin, do not give you the "dofollow" links.

However, there are still benefits from using these networks.

You can drive some quality traffic if you have high quality content.

Also, you can cross post your original content from your website to Medium.com without Google penalizing it as duplicate content.
