- Does it make sense to create first site in site-Rubix then transfer to domain?
- Why does one want a site to get up on the Internet prior to any content being posted
I think it's better to start in SiteRubix so you get an idea of what it's all about. You need to choose a domain name before you buy one and most people need a bit of experience before they can choose a good domain name. Having said that a domain name only costs $13.99 a year for a dot com when you buy it through WA.
You can't publish any content until you have a website to publish it on.
You can start with just any theme and then choose a better one later Choose a New Theme Themes control the way your website looks and plugins are for the way your website acts.
I guess I mean is there an advantage to creating first in site-Rubix as opposed to starting in your own domain right away?
Yes Leona you can create a few pages and get a base. Then you can try out themes until you find the one that fits you best

I found it easier to just start with the paid domain, the only difference is if you don't like your domain name, you've just paid for it so that money is gone. The free one won't matter if you screw up you can delete and start again and you won't have spent any money. So in answer to your question is you save money by using the free domain name.

1. Yes to save $13.99 while you experiment with domain names.
2. You can save all your posts to draft they they won't be public.
3. Point 1 above.
4. Each theme has pros and cons, start with something really bland until you get a grasp on things.
5. It' a pleasure.....LOL!
