WA Affiliate Program

I'm thinking of starting a personal 'blog' where I can post about things i enjoy such as travel, beauty and lifestyle I will obviously still use affiliate links and google ads

What do you mean by a blog on WA?

It will be unique with your own perspective of things.

I personally haven't gone that route but I know individuals who have. Most used Facebook to leverage their website; referencing articles on their website from within FB and joining groups with similar interests. Those 3 topics, especially if you have beautiful pictures, are great for social media exposure. Definitely would consider leveraging PInterest as well.

Although 'catch-all' blogs such as you describe are harder to monetize, I believe that it can be done. But it will take a while to build up the proper traffic/authority to succeed.

Anyone succeeded with a personal blog on wa?

Anyone Know How I can move my Website to Bluehost? Thanks!

I have a website on Bluehost that I will be moving here later in the year. I agree with Geoff's review of BH.

You'll need to contact support and let them know your intentions. They will give you a verification code. You will likely be required to repurchase your domain (unless Bluehost lets you have it as your free domain which they might do). Then you go to the Bluehost transfer area, enter your verification code from WA and that's how I understand that it's done.

I just wrote a review of Bluehost. Read it if you like.

The url is not an affiliate link, but I do have them on the post just so you're aware.

I'm finding it hard to find keywords that I can actually rank my sites in as I am in quite competitive niches. Any tips to find Keywords that I will be able to rank in?

Would agree with Jim.

Definitely try jaaxy. Just make sure your keywords atent very competitive. Stick with very low competition, like under fifty. You've got to start low.

Use Jaaxy to really narrow your keyword/s down. The brainstorm option is really good for this.

Hi Tonia. What's the brainstorm option? Thanks.

I apologize. I meant to say Alphabet Soup.
It digs further into long tail keywords. I have come up with so many good ones with great scores that I would have never come up with on my own. You should try it. Jaaxy has a trial period before buying.

Was just wondering how much traffic you get for the amount of pages/posts or content you have on your site so I can get an idea?

Any answers would be really helpful :)<

I really have no idea sorry.

That can't be answered because there are too many variables.... those being the keyword/s or keyword phrase being focused on, how much content and how well it's written, the seo (super important), and how much visitor participation there is. There is no black and white, unfortunately. Sure would be nice if there was though. lol

My Previous posts/keywords seem to be going down in search engine rankings, Any tips on getting these ranked again?

I like to study the ones above me, especially the top dogs— in other words, the ones who I have to beat out for those terms. They're doing something right. What is it?

For example, use some research tools on your own page, and then on the (non-advertising) pages that are #1, 2, and 3 for your keyword. Do you use Moz Open Site Explorer? ( https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/ ) That's one that might be helpful. Because you can check both your own pages and theirs.

Of course, Google Analytics (for your own traffic) and tools in the Search Console are excellent for some introspection on your own site.

Also look for tutorials here on WA (doing a search in the toolbar up top) for terms related to ranking higher, SEO, on-page SEO, related keywords, link strategy, and other related terms. I like the Live Video Classes area, too, for research.

If your pages are going down in the SERPs, it means they _are_ indexed and ranked; so it's just a matter of doing more of the things that put you up in the rankings in the first place. I personally like to be sure I'm covering the basics before doing anything special. "Basics" always comes back to content.

Hope that helps a little, Ellie. Whatever you do, don't get discouraged. It's like a tennis match. You can't win unless you play. It takes practice, some patience, determination, and always a sense of fun. :)
