GOT TOILET PAPER?

Seriously, no joke but my sister was out for over 3 hours today going from store to store in the local area to find toilet paper. My mom was down to only 2 rolls and her caregiver doesn't have a car to shop for her, so my sister does all the shopping for the week.

All the stores in our local area, including Walmart, did not have any. Tried to buy it online, Nada! No hand sanditizer, no flushable toilet wipes, and no alcohol (don't mean the drinking kind). What will be next?

This is absolute craziness! I can't even fathom the idea of not being able to get toilet paper. I've never seen anything like it in my time.

I know there were certain things rationed during WWI & WWII and I can remember in the 1970's when gasoline was rationed but never something let toilet paper.

I'm MAD AS HELL!

Okay, I've had enough! Does anyone out there have a roll or two they can spare?

Barb this is all over. From Florida to New York. In my post " CORONA VIRUS PANIC" I wrote about the toilet paper and food shortage and recommended that people should stock up with non-perishable foods. The public needs to know that supermarket stock up the shelves during the night. So if they get a delivery of toilet paper most likely you will be able to find it in the mornings hours.
I work at Stop & Shop. I start at 4:pm and the store shelves are already depleted when I get there. We don't know when this nightmare is going to end. The public is panic, and rightly so.

Lydia,
I was able to get enough paper products to last us for a while. However, I would like to be able to find some Lysol Disinfectant Spray. The air in my house is getting very stagnant.

That is becoming more available. But slowly. I use CLOROX and WATER. When I worked for the health department we were told to clean blood spills with clorox and water to kill the Aids Virus.
So, I figure, if is good for one virus it should be good for all. I believed it is 9 parts of water to one part Clorox. Don't quote me on that as my memory is not so sharp. I just mix more water than clorox and hope it works.
. .

That would be great, but colrox has been pretty much sold out for weeks now.

It is a MADNES!

Yes, it is.

I got lucky! Down to the last few rolls and the clerk at check out was kind enough to go into the overload stash - the baskets of things that people tried to buy above what they were allowed. She came back with 2 packages. I've never been so grateful! Come on by! I'll share.
Christine

That's great, Christine. We can't get any here.

I hear ya Barb. I was out today also going from store to store trying to pick up a few things.

One of the things I needed was a dozen eggs. None to be found anywhere. I finally tried the largest Walmart in our area and they had some of those non-cage eggs (forgive me if I told this story).

I grabbed some and as I turned to go I heard a woman behind me saying "this is all there is, grab them all". Her friend asked why and she said: "just get them all". There were about 6 dozen left on the shelf.

There were about 3 others standing there trying to get some eggs also while this woman corralled them into her shopping cart.

I shudder to think how our society will act in the event of a real threat to the human race.

Stay well,

Michael

It's a sad thing to see. We need to support each other to survive not horde everything in a panic. If we trust in God there's nothing to panic about. Fear is of the devil.

I hear what you are saying!

Hi Barbara

I am looking myself. lol

I went into my local supermarket yesterday and it looked like there had been some sort of fight in the store.

Cardboard was thrown everywhere shelves were empty and shopping baskets were left full in the aisles.

I asked a member of staff when I found one what had happened and they said nothing.

I was surprised that the store was still open in the state it was in.

I hope that this is not a sign of things to come.

A few days ago I visited a few more supermarkets and could not find any toilet paper at ALL.

I am going out again tomorrow and check out some of the smaller stores and see what I can find. lol

Who would have thought that I would be having a conversation about toilet paper. lol

Jennifer

Same situation here, Jennifer

Happy hunting

Let me know how you get on

Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer. The same to you.

Thanks
