I've been using wpforms for some time now, and only discovered yesterday that it was not working on my mobile device. It looks good on desktop but shows only a line of code whe

Mine is working fine as well.

That's great. Mine has been causing funny issues since yesterday. I raised a SiteSupport ticket. I hope they sort this out.

Thanks for reassuring me that WPFORMS work well on mobile.

Mine is working fine. Maybe if you provide the link to the page someone can have a look on their phone to make sure it is a mobile problem and not maybe a cache problem. I don't own a fancy phone.

Thank you very much for your reply. Please would you be kind to check it on yours? The link is https://stunninghotels4u.com

Is it this page: https://stunninghotels4u.com/contact-us/

Also try this: https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly

Lastly clear your cache on your phone (press reload for the page) and see what happens.

You can also clear cache for the website under Websites, SiteManager, select details, Under SiteSpeed you will see Clear cache.

It's the homepage. The URL without contact-us. Did you check it out? Did you see the contact form fields at your end?

Yes I only see the code. Just go back to the backend of WP and remove it and insert again.

Are you using a page builder for your website or the normal classic editor or the block editor?

Ok I will do as your recommended straight away. I'm using Elementor page builder.

I know elementor. Did you use the HTML option to insert the code? Maybe you used Text instead.

Yes I did. That same code is working on another page. You have made me to discover that I was using one code for the two forms. I will create new codes and test again. I'm really grateful for your invaluable help. I'm sure that's the issue.

You can use the same code. No need to create a separate code. But in elementor you have to use the HTML element to insert the code and not the text editor element. Did you create your normal contact us page in classic editor or did you use elementor as well?

It is how you insert it:))

I used the classic editor to create my normal Contact page

With classic editor you can just copy and paste the code. Easy.
With elementor it is a bit different.

In Elementor I used the HTML text editor as well

The thing is that same code is visible on my mobile for another page. This one for instance, https://stunninghotels4u.com/customized-flights-search-services-offered-by-stunninghotels4u/, is visible on my mobile. And I used Elementor to create that page

I have created a short quick training video on youtube. No sound and basic for you to have a look.

https://youtu.be/3k8IwwYaHyM

You are amazing. Wow I lack words to describe this kind gesture. I'm heading over there right now to check it out đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

I had never ever exploited the WordPress options in Elementor before. This page builder is really amazing. Thank you very much for helping me to discover an extension of Elementor.

So I followed the steps as per your video and had a new form created at the bottom of my homepage. It still appears on my desktop, but doesn't appear on my mobile.

I don't know if it appears on your mobile. Please, can you check your mobile again? I really hope I'm not asking too much.

Thank you very much.

I see 2 sets of code on desktop and mobile. No contact forms. Not sure what is going on. May you can contact support.:))

https://www.screencast.com/t/Vg09juwIWryi

Thanks a million for your patience. It's bizarre that all 3 forms appear on my desktop, but only 2 codes on my mobile.

I will contact support as you suggested.

I hope you were able to sort out the problem?

Yes, I did. I completely changed plugins and the problem was solved.

Thanks for the follow up. You might want to consider checking your mobile forms from time to time since you are using WPFORMS. They seem to have some issues at that level.

Thanks for the update:))

Hi,
I need some help, please.

How Do I Insert A Comment Box In The Middle Of A LANDING PAGE?

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.
Thank you very m

Jay's last webinar covered this so well. Check it out, it should give you everything you need to know about this topic.

Ray

Ok, thanks a million. Let me check it out right away.

Your theme *may* have a shortcode to display comments - check out the theme documention for more details on that.

Alternatively if not you could leverage a Facebook comment box quite easily, the guide to that is available here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments/

Thank you very much.

I already checked out the Facebook comment box option but it would appear it's going to replace the default comments at the bottom of each post, and I don't want that to happen.

Will it be possible to activate this plugin to work only on my one landing page? I love the default comments at the end of my posts.

You can add the Facebook script "inline" so it won't replace anything - you can still keep your default comments after posts...

Just simply add the Facebook code into the page/post where you wish for them to display & that's the only place they'll show up.

---

I see you mention Facebook "plugin"... That *may* replace your existing comments - but I am not referring to a plugin I'm just referring to the actual code you can copy from here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments/

WOW WOW. Thank you very much. Let me check it and give you feedback.

I followed the steps provided and it didn't work. I don't know if there's something I missed.

I'm not comfortable editing theme files, so I used the HEADER FOOTER PLUGIN.

I placed the code generated in the footer area. But the comments box didn't appear.

Please help.

You shouldn’t need to edit theme files or add plugins - just create a comment box using the link I sent you, grab the code & then place it inline in your post/page using the “Text” editor :)

My bad - apparently WP doesn’t let you add JS code directly to posts/pages by default - but if you follow step 3 on this article you’ll be able to get it sorted: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-easily-add-javascript-in-wordpress-pages-or-posts/

When I generated the codes, I was provided with 2 different sets of codes as shown below:
👇
https://www.screencast.com/t/LPU9K9v8Y

Concerning the first code, I placed it in the footer section of my HEADER FOOTER PLUGIN, unless that's not what I was supposed to do.

As for the second set of codes, I placed them on my landing page in question in the HTML section.

I didn't mention that I created my landing page using Elementor. Did I miss a step?

Ok, thank you very much. Let me check it out and get back to you.

You’ve done it right - that’s fine, however you may need to move the code into your header rather than your footer.

I moved codes to the header but it didn't still work. I will try out the recommendation before the header one.

The Facebook Comments widget appears to be a pro service for Elementor.

I tried to raise a support ticket about my website. I successfully created the title, but the message area was inaccissible.

In other words, I couldn't type anything. Any

Having just now issued a ticket, I clicked on my Messages Sent, and I leave that open until I hear back from them.

Do not think the link in email has not been working properly from when the major change happened on the platform. If that is what you are referring to, I will let Carson know of this issue once I receive an email from the server, once SiteSupport responds to my ticket.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you very much. You are so kind. Do ask them, even though I found an alternative way to contact them.

I had to use one of the threads I started in my PM, and my issues were sorted out.

But it would be good to let them know that there is problem like that.

Yes... in your PM folder is what I was referring to. Carson is now aware.

WOW. You are the best. Thanks a million.

Heii, I just checked it out a few seconds ago, it's now working.

Thanks for going the extra mile just to help me out.

You're very welcome ❤... that's what we members do for each other here at WA... we go the extra mile in helping each other out whenever possible.

I contacted site support a few hours ago and they responded within a few minutes. I havn't had any issues with them.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Perhaps there's a glitch at my end. I've noticed lately that so many features were not working at my end.

I appreciate your message, thanks a lot.

You're welcome.

Hope you get this fixed.

Best wishes.

I have usually not had any issues but I see from some of your replies that there does seem to be some system issues. I hope you get a resolution soon.

Wayne

Indeed, Wayne, I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case. My members' area, in particular, has had some issues lately requiring people to manually access it to rectify the issues.

That notwithstanding, I used one of the support threads I had started in the past, and they responded.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Great to hear.

Wayne

Yes, it seems @casspertheb4 is also having trouble creating one:

Thanks, Dale for your reply.

But it would appear Casse is a new member and still discovering SiteSupport for the first time. It's most probably the reason why he's asking.

I submitted a support ticket last week, and it work okay then

Thanks, Ray for your reply. It didn't work for me just a few minutes ago. Did you try using it today?

No I haven't

Ok.

So I wrote a review article, and later on discovered that it was already indexed by Google, and I could even see it in search results.

A few weeks later, that particular

Back in April 2019, Google had a widespread technical issue where URLs were de-indexed by mistake. It was fixed by Google but for anyone still missing URLs in the index, they recommended using the Using Inspect URL tool and Submit to index again.

Here's the link to the article:
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-is-fixing-a-technical-issue-causing-pages-to-be-deindexed/302287

I just found out about this too only recently and the problem had long been solved. My missing indexing pages are back.

Thank you very much for drawing my attention to this.

You're welcome. I realized that your issue was fixed but I thought it might help anyone else who comes along and is not aware that sometimes Google does mess up...lol.

Awesome. How thoughtful of you. Thank you once again.

You may find the following blog post helpful: Glad you received a solution to your problem... but do try not to force your post down further in the rankings by constantly search for it... adding to the decrease in rank.

Hope you find this helpful.

LOL. I hear you, ma'am. Thanks a lot for the advice.

Could you share the title with me and let me do a search for it and see what I find.

I just sent a PM with the link. Thank you very much for asking.

I will take a look and let you know what I find.

Thank you very much.

I found it on page 7 10th position.

I took the training on Keywords, thought I understood, and then just went on and on, posting and posting, only to realize after a long time, that I've been doing it all wrong.<

I think these are too broad to use. You can try adding a few more words like, (how to start an online business for free) and (why is education necessary) or (what is education all about) Try these and see if you like them.
All the best.

Thanks a lot for these suggestions. I will check them out.

According to Jay's training on this subject, and by using Jaaxy, choose keywords that have an AVG of +100 and a QSR of -100. These are best results for low hanging keywords that you can rank with.

Thanks for your contribution

DVanentine has got good advice......

Laurel

The SERP results for ''how to start an online business for free'' is over 4 Billion!!!

I wouldn't want to mess around keywords like that.

Anyway, I'm glad I asked this question, as I've gathered the information I was looking for.

And thanks for all your contributions.

Hi Nsoh - here are my opinions on your keywords.
1. Keyword #1 doesn't make sense - perhaps changing it to "how to start AN online business FOR free" (Jaaxy Results: 882, 150, 64, Great, 88). Looking at the SERPs for that keyword it would be easy to rank on the 1st page, perhaps even the top 3 with a targeted article that as been put out on Social Media. The .com is also available.

2. I like this keyword! Huge traffic, hardly any competition and a decent SEO score. I looked at the SERPs results for this one keyword. The #1 entry has no links to the actual article and only 19 backlinks to the whole domain and it's been around for 8 years - so it has a certain amount of 'domain age' that helps it rank.
For you to rank with this keyword I would suggest creating an article that is huge in scope (a 'skyscraper article') but really focuses on the broad subject of 'education'. Once you've published it, get it out on social media and ask your network here on WA to read, comment, like, link to etc.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

Thanks for your reply Valentine, but I strongly suggest you take a look at GlanPalo's analysis.

I've just seen what I have done - I searched using quotes, not 'plain jane' text! #Newbie!

Apologies

I am just starting and I benefit as well so thank you for this question!

You are welcome.

#2 is not a good keyword. While Jaaxy shows good numbers, the Google SERP shows it is highly competitive.

While Google SERP shows no ads for the keyword, it shows that the top sites are .org and .edu websites as well as Quora. These are all high domain authority sites.

Thanks a million for your time. Do you also use KWFinder to find keywords for your blog posts?

Not very often. Mostly to check domain authority of competition. But I have thought about canceling my Jaaxy account and switching to KWFinder. KWFinder is $30 a month. I have been using Jaaxy for awhile. So I am paying $19 a month.

I also use MOZ Open Site Explorer which has recently changed to Moz link explorer.

Ok. Having used the two, which one is best for finding accurate keyword results? I used to think Jaaxy delivers ready to use keywords, but it seems there is still so much work needed to be done, especially if you find an apparently excellent keyword.

Why would horrible keywords appear in Jaaxy as excellent? I don't get it. This is not supposed to be.

Interesting!... as the first one is also on my list of keywords to write an article on :-) I think it's a good one!

Good traffic and only 13 competing sites with the same keyword...

Go for it!

The second one I am not sure about even though it has very high traffic and only 77 competing sites, the SEO score is only 89 and I like to have a minimum of 90+

With the very high traffic for the second keyword, I would have expected higher competition!

Still trying to get my head around the keywords! :-)

Wish you much success!

Please run away from the first keyword. Read GlenPalo's comment below.

You see now, you would have just spent your time and developed content around a keyword which would never rank, and then start wondering months later why you are not getting any traffic.

This is one of the problems I've been facing.

I think I have been doing this already... with 130 articles on site I was wondering why I was not getting much traffic and not ranking for the keywords!

Thank you for bringing up this topic. It seems I have to learn much more about keywords! :-)

Oh yes, this is the problem I've been having with the majority of my articles too.

Plus watch out for reactions towards the second keyword. It's also a big trap for newbies in finding keywords. Using keywords starting with ''what is....about''

Most of my articles use this keyword, which is totally worthless. I really wish someone could intervene and tell me why this keyword is worthless.

Why is that keyword as you say useless? As it has worked just fine for me although it normally isn't the main keyword.

That is good that people see it as that, it means not too many will be using it!

A keyword may not sound correct for some but you must understand that not everybody is grammatically knowledgeable and have not been to Oxford, Cambridge or Harvard, and according to the keyword tool that is exactly what people are keying into Google, so as long as it doesn't sound too dodgy then why not use it?

Mick

If you are referring to the example I provided, ''What Is ... About?''', I've been told that searching engines do not recognize the use of articles such as ''what'' ''is''''About'' when crafting your keywords. I don't know why, BUT THIS IS 100% TRUE, WHY? Most of my posts have keywords designed as, ''what is xxx about?''. Around 80% of the posts having these keywords have ranked on Google page 1, but guess what? I'M NOT GETTING ANY TRAFFIC.
That's why I say the keyword is useless. I don't know why I'm not getting any traffic from those posts on the first page, can someone explain?

I've even started revisiting some of my old posts to optimize the Meta Title, starting with the ones on the first page of Google. Taking into account the traffic potentials of those keywords, I'm not yet receiving any significant amount of traffic.

You say..

'<

Please, I don't understand what you are trying to say here. Enlighten me here. But you should know that there is more to the use of keywords than just picking anyone that ''doesn't sound too dodgy''. You think of competition, traffic, and all that stuff...

Hey Nsoh, I can see that you are frustrated but before you listen to Joe Bloggs (whoever that may be) and start re-hashing all your hard work, I would get some guidance from someone like Kyle if you are not happy with the community.

Just take a look at some of the members who are successful and they are all using that keyword term you just said is useless.

I guess then they must all be wrong too!

"How to start online business free"

I can see that it doesn't sound 100% grammatically correct but I have seen keywords that look very similar been used by successful marketers here at WA.

Mick

Wozzy, is this about the community? Why are you jumping to conclusions that I'm not happy with the community????? What has it got to do with my quest to understand keywords better?

I have the right to use the ''Ask A Question'' forum which I just did, and it's because I trust the help of the community that I asked my question.

Please stop mixing things up here.

My comments are about your first keyword. IMO #1 is not a good keyword. While Jaaxy shows good numbers (see image), the keyword is highly competitive per the attached Google SERP. The Google SERP shows paid ads and a featured snippet. The remaining page 1 entries are all high domain authority websites.

Bottom line: it will be difficult to rank well and get traffic.

Excellent!!!! Thank you very much for this analysis which makes perfect sense.

By the way, is that still Jaaxy you used to check out the domain authorities? Which tool is that?

What about the second Keyword, please?

I used Keyword Finder (KWFInder) to check domain authority.

I am still checking on the second keyword.

Thanks. Please, could you provide a link to KWFinder? I could find it on Google, but I would prefer receiving one from you.

https://kwfinder.com/

It is a paid service, but does provide several free searches. I am not a member or affiliate.

Does this mean that for any keyword I find using Jaaxy, I would have to use a second tool to determine its viability?

Where do you check the domain authority? Like you have in the 3rd image you posted here?

https://kwfinder.com/

That's is the link he provided.

Thank you. I must have missed it if it was posted in this thread.

I use multiple tools. But mostly run queries on google to "eyeball" the competition and paid ads.

Since I am researching for a blog post about dog beds, I have attached a screenshot of Google SERP for orthopedic dog beds. Google makes the keywords BOLD which helps analyze my keywords.

Jaaxy shows some good keywords, which require analysis.

What minimum number of SERP will you watch out for, to determine if a particular keyword is good or not?

Let's take the example above of starting online business free. What if SERP was showing 500 000 000 results instead of 1 Billion, would you have still given it a try? Let's assume that there was no authority domain on the first page.

I hate to say this, but...

it depends.

After I do a Jaaxy keyword search to create a list of potential keywords, I will search on Google for competition, check ads to see what keywords people use who are willing to pay to pay for them. And I check the competition. I also look at the specific web pages/blog posts to see if I can write a better one. I also look at or read the comments to see if they are current.

Please what do you say about the use of ''what'' ''is'' ''about'' when searching for keywords?

''What Is Education About'' for instance, I've been told it's not recommended to use such types of keywords. What do you have to say about that?

Thank you very much for all your answers

Hi Glen, Thanks for your help.
How would you suggest to start new word research to the newbie so it saves time and confusion like Stunning Bell after one year of publishing contents?

Warm Regards,
Gaurav Gaur

Sorry, it was KEYWORD research and not new word research :P

I use them as do others. Check out answerthepublic.com as it creates questions from keywords. Quora search is also based on questions.

Thank you very much

It's all in how Google picks up the keywords in your headlines Nsoh Here are some tips. https://www.oncrawl.com/oncrawl-seo-thoughts/tips-for-writing-compelling-headlines/

You mean the meta title? I still don't get it. Before getting to the SEO optimized meta title, you need a good Keyword. I'm still in the phase of selecting a good keyword.

If you select a keyword with low traffic, and optimize the Meta Title excellently, at the end of the day, you still get very few people visiting your website, even if it's SEO optimized.

Please what do you think about those two keywords I've used as an example?

The first one rocks off the planet and is the winner. Everybody loves free. The second one could be dressed up with action verbs. such as: "Education delivers. Seek it from one of the 1,000 sources today!

But the first one already has an insane competition, and the possibility of ranking for it will be very slim.

When you type that keyword in Google, over 1 Billion results come up.

Will it be a great keyword to build content around it, when it's already so competitive?

I would test, test, test in those conditions.

Thanks for the link you sent, I've just finished going through the post. Very helpful tips on optimizing your Meta Title.

But my problem related to keywords still remains. I need to get this sorted out. You haven't confirmed whether it's really competitive or not.

When you say test and test, you mean using it and watching it rank? Why would I even want to compete with 1 billion others?

I'm still very confused.

a helpfull article, a must read.

You said you have realized that in a long time as if you have done the wrong step. It's been more than a year that I've been here and I haven't cracked the way money is funneled to my website.
We both can benefit from the answers to your question.

It's possible you have been using the wrong keywords too. I guess we never stop asking until we get it right.
