Google Gave My Image Back
I bet you all remember the fuss I kicked up a while back about my image disappearing from G+, and the ensuing riot by other WA members!
Well, good news! I got it back! Don't know what I did right though, we all know that the big G has a mind of its own.
I was checking on my rankings by searching each post in order of publication, and out of all eleven I found my pic added to my very latest post that was published on 6 Jan. It was also not the ranking that did it, this post is ranked #10 on page 3, one of my lowest ranked posts.
So to all and sundry that are still carrying a chip on the shoulder, take heart, all is not lost!

I honestly don't think we'll ever understand Google! And they say women are impossible to understand!
Who knows, maybe, Google is some kind of impossible women.:)
You how they call machines she, Google is a machine in a sense, only without body.

Hi Lydia.
Google decides on it's own whim, when to display the images and when not - sometimes it will (maybe if there are ducks in the local pond, and the sun is high in the sky), sometimes they won't (maybe there's a crow in the tree across the road from their HQ).
No-one really knows why it's sometimes there, and sometimes not - so don't get worried if it disappears again!!

I think we've all got used to Google's moods, Mark. If it stays, great, if not, oh well, who really cares? Your pic obviously doesn't improve rankings.

Your pic doesn't improve rankings but if you're in the top few rankings already, your clickthrough rate is highly likely going to improve.

That's good news. And maybe it's a sign for those of us who are still without it. (as in yours truly) Perhaps MY next post will signal its return. You have good rankings. My latest post (from last week) began on page 5...and has since dropped to page 6! The mind of Google is a tough nut to crack!
