You add a paypal button. This allows you to take money but good luck with that one if you want to have a membership site Paypal really does not like recurring payments, and if the site becomes successful you will eventually lose your Paypal account leaving you forced to set up a merchant account which is hugely costly
thank you sir for the advice. would it be wise to use the paypal untill the site becomes profitable enough to use a different source?? how much is hugely costly?

Hi Blaine, welcome to WA. You can achieve this by installing any of the wordpress plugins that is compatible with your theme. You could look at this one (paidmembershipspro) Log into your site and scroll down to appearance, select plugin, then add new. You will see a bunch of them; just type in the search engine for paid membership select the one and install. Having done that you activate and customize
