Wealthy Affiliate Isnt For Everyone-Sucks But Its True

Ok I am one of the people Wealthy Affiliate is for. Unfortunetly it isnt for everyone. So many people join with the vision that they will start getting a paycheck two weeks after they begin.

Well we all know thats just not the case. WA is not some kind of get rich quick scheme or anything like that. Also on that point nowhere does it ever promise quick money.

I think people get excited at the beginning. They build a site, add some content and expect to be making money.

Well I am here to remind anyone who is thinking of quitting to remember WA is a training platform and I may add the best training you are going to find anywhere.

I am not about to do my homework on how much University costs but I am willing to bet thousands and thousands a year. So lets compare that to a few hundred a year.

So people will pay thousands a year, go to class day after day, get no paychecks for years, walk out with a degree with no guarantee of work.

But here they pay for a few months, start getting a great education but when the money doesnt roll in they quit paying and move on to who know what.

So right now I am asking people to think before giving up. You do need to treat this as a business that you are building from the ground up. Your websites are not going to make much money with very little content.

You need to make a commitment. I work full time and then I am still doing at least 15 or more hours a week on WA or on my websites and such.

I have made a few cents here and there but honestly Im not expecting a lot until I have hundreds of posts on my sites.

Right now I am just encouraged to see a little more traffic each day. That gets my juices flowing and tells me I am headed in the right direction.

Ya, ok maybe I am babblling but I just want people people to understand that they really can make it here. Yes its hard work but is anything really that hard if you love what you are doing.

Follow the training at Wealthy Affiliate, put in the effort and the time and you can not fail.

Ok just wanted to put my two bits in.

Of course comments are always welcome.

Dale

My 2 bit thoughts:
Not everyone can be on the first page of Google at all times, if you get there at all.
Staying on the first pages of google can't last forever without tons of work.
Affiliate Marketing Compettition is more than ever before.
Not everyone has the aptitude for website building.
Not everyone has the money it may take to make your website great.
Having an average website will not make your dream life entirely possible.
All the encouraging words we read may not be enough to keep you thinking positively at all times.
Time spent at the computer can go on forever...there is no end.
Sometimes the immediate need for money forces us to put WA on hold till better times arrive.
Consumers can get anything they need on Amazon without using our website links to purchase product.

These are negative thoughts I struggle with while trying to stick to building my website for six months. No results at all so far. This is discouraging!!

Amazon is definitely effecting the affiliate marketing process. So if you can't beat em ... consider joining them. Commission rates are lower and they provide only a 24 hour cookie.

But one should balance that out with the opportunity for getting sales credit on products other than those in your product niche.

One of the sensible parts of the WA learning platform is there is no hype ... nada. Is WA the best place to proactively learn affiliate marketing skills and how to run an internet business? Absolutely ... Kyle and Carson are committed to providing the most current training and advanced platform.

The operative word is 'proactive'. K&C are very up front about that, but if you are willing to do the training and tasks ... all of them, no skipping, success is very achievable.

It is the 'learn & do' process that takes the time, and many who come here are really not prepared for that commitment. Once your website is up and running, the time consuming process is building a steady and increasing flow of traffic.

That takes content ... and a lot of it. At this point, success is very close.

Its too bad we couldnt figure out stats of people who left that were just about to turn the corner. I bet it would be a high number.

K&C are doing a lot of stuff to advance the technology of the platform, so it wouldn't surprise me if that get's included. I also would like a current statistic on attrition. How long do members (on average) tend to stick with it and stay committed to using the platform to continue the learning process and to run their business?

You're absolutely right Dale and the longer you work at this online stuff, the more you realise that what you've been doing is exactly what you say... building a business from the ground up. But it has to provide some value, I think too many people forget that real people are coming to their websites. Value has to be no.1 - always... and money comes later.

So true. Thanks for the comment

Yes, you are correct Dale in comparing the two educational institutions; WAU (Wealthy Affiliate University) against Traditional Universities.
Each gives you knowledge:
- WAU provides knowledge that you can use immediately whereas - tradition school provides the knowledge you have to remember how to use in the future.
Each gives you companionship:
- WAU provides a community of like-minded entrepreneurs that are all striving to succeed.
- tradition school provides fraternities and libraries.
Each gives you a certificate:
- WAU provides certification that enables you to earn an immediate income.
- traditional school provides a degree - assuming you complete all four years.
Each costs money:
- WAU is as low as FREE for a limited amount of training; or up to $588/year.
- traditional school as low as $10,000/year for a minimum of 4 years.

It is always up to you. You decide which has more value. For me, the value is in the knowledge that can be used immediately to earn an income, that has
no age requirement
no physical or mental abilities
no time restraints

Thank you for sharing Dale,
Ken

What a great response. Thank you

I am definitely with you here. Who wouldn't want to earn money right away? But let's be reminded that good things take time. I am one to attest to that. I haven't earned a cent yet, but I am currently enjoying my journey here at WA and loving all the people who put so much passion in helping others, especially the newbies like me. Thank you Dale for this beautiful reminder. :)

Keep on keeping on. Always here to chat and help if I can

If you've ever worked at a job you didn't like, you know that enjoying the journey is half the battle! And I'm with you - I'm loving the community and the learning and can't wait to see what I'm able to do with the knowledge down the road!

When I first found WA, I told my husband that my favorite thing about the site was it DIDN'T sound too good to be true, unlike other sites that promise you'll be making thousands in just a few clicks. You have to go through the lessons, put in the time doing what the lessons talked about and keep building your business and your brand.

Thats a great way to put it and a great way to promote it as well

I think that the problem with at least some people is that they come here when they are desperate and needing to make money. They are hoping WA can solve their problems quickly. Sadly, short of winning the lottery, there is nothing that will do that. If only they could hang on a little longer, they would find that WA can indeed help them, but in their fear and desperation they go looking for something else that they hope can set them free financially.

Then there's also the fact that we live in an age of instant gratification. My mother used to spend the day cooking a meal for my family. Today we look at the frozen dinner that take 5 minutes in the microwave and wonder why it takes *so long*.

If we applied this attitude to everything, we'd have people going to medical school getting frustrated that they aren't operating in 3 weeks.

Very well written my friend. I am glad to say that we are still very good at making home cooked meals at least 5 times a week. other 2 are leftovers and maybe once a month we treat ourselves to take out.

But yes, could you imagine us getting treated by Drs that only have a few months experience. There would be a lot of dead people..

Really inspiring. Thanks for sharing. I guess the love for the website and the amount of knowledge we gain withing WA should keep us going. The money will come but if we don't enjoy what we do and all we think about the money...then the temptation to quit will be higher than the zeal to stay, learn and grow.

Thanks for sharing...

You are right we do have to enjoy what we are doing because if the reason we are mainly here is cash driven which is ok will make most of us run.

Because anyone that has been here knows the cash takes a while.

Very well stated Dale!

People spend thousands on education, go to school for years and don't expect a single dime until they leave school and start working so why are the expectations different here on WA university?!

If you can help people understand this, they might be more realistic about their goals and expectations.

Great post!!

Regards,
Kamil

People have a hard time seeing that. They are treating it like a job where they expect to be paid every two weeks or whatever. Where as if treated as training as what it really is then maybe they would see the amazing potential of learning from the tool offered to us here.

Thanks for comments.

Well said, Dale. It takes patience and persistence. And having a business plan with goals and a budget. I really can't think of anything WA does not have to teach everyone how to create a successful online business.

If a member has done the training and still is not doing well, then they should go through the training again. I certainly have redone certain portions of it.

Oh God yes you are right. I am still making my way through the training and still going back to stuff I have learned alreay and it gets clearer every day.

The plan is very important and WA helps put it into place with the tools if you are willing to use the tools.
