What's the issue Charley..?
What I do is simply go to my mac finder, find the image, then drag and drop it right into WP media. Works like a charm!!

I captured images to make sure pics did not have code or anything. But still cannot upload my captured pics. Mac Book Pro OS X 10.9.4 (13E28).
Twilight Zone!
Not exactly. My blog subject is Jimmy Hoffa. So the 1st error msg was pics being security risk or something like that. These were saved to folder and the attempted uploads.
Next I captured pics (selection captures) and tried again- no luck.
I am baffled.
A captured pic should be code free. . . should it not?
Pics from Google images can be coded by others. I attempted to eliminate this possible quirk by capturing (taking pic of the pic) and thinking I will have a pic free of any possible codes.
If you take a pic / screen shot / snip of an image on Google image results, you can still get into copyright disputes.
Google grabs those images from literally hundreds of sites, if not thousands. In most instances, there's no way to tell who has copyright.
Don't try to "get around" codes of copyright and royalties on images. It's taken pretty seriously if you breach them and are caught doing so.
Go to a true Public Domain image site. Some suggestions are:
www.pdclipart.org
www.publicdomainpictures.net
www.commons.wikimedia.org
Or, if you are indeed looking for an image of Jimmy Hoffa. Run a Google search for "Public Domain images + Jimmy Hoffa" or something similar.
Cheers.
